@bethanie0825 Oh no I hate when I need to enter my password since I suck at guessing it well!

@Cornanda Yes the last two weeks I've been UNDER the struggle bus it was so bad! We need to knock this off! It sounds like you're doing well now which I'm happy to read. Yay for step aerobics working that's great! Hahaha your new neighbors are hilarious.

@trooworld Wow I bet the cannibal exhibit was depressing, we know the dark side of humanity is there but it's also a hard thing to relate to. I'm glad you had some time to sit and read that's always so nice especially when life has been busy. Great job with the food too!

@DrewsAnna Great job on the exercise, woot woot! I was using an app called Finch where you can put goals down and check them off the list, it's a cute app and may help. Aw you're not a bad dog Mom hopefully the medication will help him manage.

Winter Hats: Do you wear one or do you prefer not to mess up your hair? I'm not wearing them for warmth unless I'm in the snow or outside long, I think I have bad memories of them as I was bald for a few years in my 30s and wore them a lot. I WILL wear one to the farm or for a work yard day though.

GO MISSION SLIMPOSSIBLES! 2nd Place and @bobboyardee @trooworld and @TeresaW2024 lead the pack this week woohoo!

Hi friends! Tbe cooking lesson was fun this morning, she made banana oat cakes with raspberries on top (bananas, oats, and spices in the Vitamix then spread on a sheet to bake then you add raspberries, they were good. The smoothie was a coconut mango one I didn't try. Got my workout in and did pretty good today diet-wise not food-wise but calories were good. Have a great Monday!

@Katmary71 Good score at the garage sale! I think that is great that the community garden is gaining more people. Ugh mothers!! I agree that they shouldn’t make you have to drive so far, when you have to go to the oral surgeon the next day. Do you own a Vitamix? Those things are cool! :)

@Cornanda, I hope the mice are in the traps that the pest control came and set out. They will come back and check the traps in a couple of weeks. :) Haha, kids on advising y’all on how to improve your property! Your DH better have a good answer for why that brick wall isn’t down yet. :D

@trooworld, you are always going to such interesting places! I’m trying to picture what a cannibal exhibit looks like, and it’s not pretty! :D

Good morning! So, I just discovered that my sweet Joe can't hold a pen!! He signs his name like a three-year-old! I had a big freak-out moment thinking of everything he would have to sign at the closing. I called our real estate agent, and Joe can sign an X if needed. And, of course, my agent stressed that we need Joe to look like he knows what he is doing. To be clear, Joe is fully aware of what we are doing and loves that we are helping Kayla get this house. But he looks like a very old man who might not be all there. :# I will bring my power of attorney, which gives me total control, just in case a question arises. I also bought a pen for those with arthritis, and we plan to play that at the closing. I need this done so my little family can be in their new home!!! I'm still doing great with not eating sugar or snacking, which I'm very impressed with, considering how easily my stress could send me straight to Joe's cookies. Have a good day! :)

ICE BREAKER QUESTION of the Week: Winter hats - do you wear one,

No winter hats for me here in Georgia. I don’t go out when it’s that cold. :D

Amelia got to go home yesterday 🩷 Please keep the prayers coming for her and her parents. Marcus told me today that it's obvious that she's in a lot of pain. The only pain reliever she can have is Tylenol. He also said she is only eating about 1 to 2 oz at a time, so she's waking up every 2 to 3 hours.

I haven't been doing 100% with good food choices, but I would say that I'm probably around 80%. I had a 1.8 lb loss with today's weigh-in, so I'll take it! I get to go see my therapist in an hour. After that, I'll stop at the grocery store to pick up some fresh avocados because I am all out and that is heresy 🤣

I should wear hats here in Michigan, but I really just need my ears covered. Somehow my mother got ahold of an ear muff contraption where it goes behind your neck instead of over the top of your head. She gave it to me and it is my favorite thing now. Came in handy while I was pumping gas last night with the wind chill being close to zero.

Don't forget to drink your water today!

    2025 is MY year!

Lol... in my late teenage years until about my early 30's, there was no way I would do anything that would mess up my hair or make-up. Lol... it took a long time to get all fixed. Then came my biker days came, and omg... do you know what a helmet does to your hair? Boy, did I have to learn how to have half way decent hair when I took that helmet off and it took a while. Then came my buggy days, lol... I had to wear some type of hat, weather depending. Oohhh, my poor hair went through so much during my motorcycle & buggy days.

Now a days, I'm still not much of a hat wearing person, but I will if need be, but oh omg... myyy hair......

@TeresaW2024 Thanks! I don't have a Vitamix but my neighbor does, I wish I did! You ARE doing great with all the stress you're under you've been rocking it! I hope the arthritis pen helps Joe. I'm glad he's also happy to be helping your niece and her kids.

@trooworld Hugs to you I know a husband that WILL NOT be getting a Kindle cover sheesh! That would hurt my feelings too.

@vegan4lyfe2012 I'm glad Amelia is home but sad to here she's in pain. I'll keep sending prayers and healing vibes her way. I think 80% is wonderful with all you have going on! Oh my gosh I can't imagine being out in that cold, yikes. I made a pot of cranberry vanilla tea so I'm getting my water in, don't you forget either!

@DrewsAnna Helmet hair isn't fun lol, I'm imagining you the first time you had it. I don't like the feeling of a hat on my head but since I'm outside a lot I'm trying to protect my hair color.

Hi friends! I was planning to go to the farm but it was too cold so I didn't and have been cleaning, rearranging my seed setup, and started some medicinal seeds. A lot need to be cold stratified so that stinks to find out now when I'd like to be starting them! Most exciting today is I have moranga tree seeds soaking, I'm going to see if I can take them to the greenhouse since they're harder to take care of. Tomorrow I'm getting my hair done followed by an allergy appt to renew my allergy shot treatment for another yeat. Have a great Tuesday!

I wear a hat, hood, or knitted headband during the winter when its cold enough (30 or so). I sweat a lot in my head and leaving the gym with the wind blowing is never fun in the cold.

Hey all! I am still here; I've just been super busy. I have 6 days left of the 21 Day Fix Extreme workout and my results have been really good. I plan on continuing with another Beachbody program similar to it while I have the membership because I doubt I will renew it. Whole30 is technically over but I have only added back a few things (beans, quinoa, stevia :s ). Those have been ok so far - no adverse reactions - but I am hesitant to add oats, soy, and wheat because I feel like one of those was my inflammation trigger in the first place. Though I will say right now that the aftertaste of stevia is so bad. I couldn't finish the drink it was in and I don't know that I would try it again soon.

@laurelfit57 - I missed your question. We are going to Cozumel again on a cruise. It’ll be my third time there.

@vegan4lyfe2012 Congrats on your loss! And yayyy for Amelia coming home, but I’m so sorry she is in pain and not eating much. I will continue to pray for her healing and that she will start eating and thriving! <3

@Katmary71 When I type moranga, my autocorrect wants to do moringa. Is it the same or a different tree? Will you eat the leaves? :)

@trooworld Those Kindle covers are so cute!! And I don’t see a single flaw! <3 I used to hate it when my tracker didn’t work. It’s like all those steps were for nothing! :D

Good morning! It’s a sunny day, which is good because I need to run to Aldi and the bank this morning. I wasn’t thrilled with my weight loss this week, but I will take it in light of how stressed out I’ve been. Five more days and we close on the house, and I can’t wait for it to be done. This will be the last time I do anything that needs Joe’s participation. It’s not fair to him or me, for that matter! Have a good day! :)

What’s one springtime goal you’re setting for your fitness or nutrition?
Getting back to lifting weights is my main goal. I did a little weightlifting the other day, and it hurt so bad I couldn’t sit down without major pain for two days! Consistent lifting would solve that problem. :D

What’s one springtime goal you’re setting for your fitness or nutrition?
My goals: my annual "walk the year " goal of walking 2025 miles this year, my spring-summer-autumn goal of 50 miles per week on the bicycle, and I will continue with my morning strength training workouts and my evening yoga practice. My nutrition goal is to prepare meals at home in the evening, mostly vegetarian.

@Katmary71 – I have been wanting a Vitamix for years! I have a Ninja, so I have to be satisfied with that for now. Does what I need it to do, which is mainly my mayo, sour cream and other sauces. I bought the larger cup for it, so I can blend up to 2 cups at a time. Did the cooking lesson recipes require a Vitamix or can you use a regular blender? That banana oat cake sounds yummy! Cranberry Vanilla tea sounds delightful!

@trooworld – I’m sorry your husband was so insensitive about the Kindle cover. I love it! Especially the fabric you chose – those doggies are so cute! I hate when my tracker doesn’t track ☹

@AprilRaineyBattle – Stevia is pretty potent…I use it so sparingly. A little dab’l do ya! Good luck adding oats, soy and wheat back in. I hope you’re able to figure out your trigger without too much discomfort.

@TeresaW2024 – So close to that house finish line! Hang in there!

Thank you everyone for the continue prayers for baby Amelia! As soon as I walked into my therapist’s office yesterday, I just felt all the stress melt away and I had my breakdown. I had really been keeping a lot pent up. I am feeling so much relief now. I have an appt this afternoon for my yearly physical and I am not looking forward to it. Saw my bloodwork test results already and my glucose was too high – into the prediabetic stage. Diabetes does not run in my family – only one other person had it (my grandmother’s sister). Totally weight related. There’s no question about it. I absolutely MUST lose this excess weight. It would also get my blood pressure back to normal. Thank you all for being here for me – I love and appreciate you!

What’s one springtime goal you’re setting for your fitness or nutrition?
To use the resistance bands consistently…at least 3 times per week is a good, reasonable start for me.

    2025 is MY year!

I'm looking forward to getting outside to do some walking and some gardening. I always seem to enjoy veggies a lot more when it's warmer.

Today is my Birthday. My husband gifted me Amazon Gift Cards and two crystal figurines. A mushroom with two ladybugs and a tiny owl with green leaves for feet, so cute. I'm going to ride my bike later; I need to swap out the batteries first. Hugs to everybody and prayers to those that need them. It has not been easy to stay in range, I want to eat more calories but I'm doing my best not too. I do not sleep well; I get up about 2:30 every morning and I have no idea why. I get my best sleep when I nap in the afternoons. Maybe this is just because I'm older now.

@AprilRainyBattle Yay on the great results from 21 Day Fix! I hope you find another one you enjoy while you have Beachbody, I'd like to try it out one of these days. I'm glad adding things back in is going well so far. The nutritionist I work with thinks everyne should cut out oats, soy, and wheat because they're all inflammatory though I guess we really need to try each one to see if it is for us. That “too much stevia” taste is gross, I use it and love it in tea especially if it's stuff I've grown in leaf form but too much has a gross taste for sure. When do you leave for your cruise?

@bobboyardee That's real good for being sick way to go! I'm glad you're on your way to feeling better.

@trooworld Yikes I can't even imagine how bad you were feeling after drinking coffee in the sun, I'm glad the nap helped. Can I say how happy I am for you every time I see you say you've been walking around with your husband? Go Chris! That's the cutest fabric I love them!

WHAT'S ONE SPRINGTIME GOAL YOU'RE SETTING FOR YOUR FITNESS OR NUTRITION? I've started doing Leslie Sansone 1 mile videos, hoping to find a balance of what I can do. Still trying to get back on track but feeling resistant for some reason.

@TeresaW2024 It's moringa I was spelling it wrong. You can eat every part of it but is most grown for leaves, roots, and young pods. I'm glad the closing is near hugs to you on the stress you're under right now.

@vegan4lyfe2012 I'd love a Vitamix OR a Ninja! I'd think a Ninja could do what we were shown, the first recipe had bananas and oats then the second had frozen fruit so as long as yours could handle that you'd be fine. Funny the cranberry vanilla is a seasonal one that I didn't like before but I love it now so not sure why I didn't like it when I bought it. Aw I'm glad you were able to let loose with your therapist. I definitely want you to avoid diabetes and be able to decrease your blood pressure. You WILL get out of the prediabetic stage soon I know you can do it! Hugs thank YOU for being here for me/us too!

@txcritter69 That's ok glad to see you and good weigh in!

@FushiaKat Happy Birthday! Those figures sound adorable that's very thoughtful of your husband. You're doing amazing maintaining ESPECIALLY when you aren't getting steady sleep way to go!

Hi friends! Super long day I went for my hair appointment then the woman I work for sent an emergency text about something she needed to get out (I HAVE said I hate when everything is last minute and urgent but doesn't seem like that's changing anytime soon). I stopped by to see what she needed then went for my allergy appointment, went to the store, the pharmacy, then back and helped her for an hour to get out a bunch of text messages as a company we use for supplements merged with another company and she wanted to let everyone know. The two people I'm attempting to learn about mushrooms with keep going out-of-town or can't go for the next step so I'm getting pretty frustrated with them since we're told we need to come back in two weeks each time we do a step. I can't imagine what a pain actually growing them together will be geez! Have a great night and happy Wednesday.

@vegan4lyfe2012 I’m so glad you could release stress with your therapist. I’ve never done any therapy but have often thought how helpful it would be if I did have someone I could unload on. I understand your urgency to get your weight under control before you are diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes. It’s also one of the main reasons I am working hard to get mine off. We can do it!! :)

    @FushiaKat Happy birthday!! <3

@Katmary71 Your day does sound long and frustrating. I hope today is better! :)

Good morning! There's not much happening today besides working out and doing a little housework. Joe has been requesting nachos, so I’m making loaded nachos for dinner. He is so happy! :)
