Hi All 💝

About me…
I've never known a day in my life that I've not found comfort in food. I am much older now and have gone through an emotional healing transformation and ready to heal my body. I've been working towards 100% WFPB since summer 2017.
Yeah it's taken a lil bit for me to get here but I'm 100% now and so happy to be on premium with a real group of plant eaters ☺️ (love DRs Greger, Esselstyn, Klaper and T. Colin Campbell) learned sooooo much from them on YT.
Wish you all great success!

Hi DayaSunrise, welcome to the group. We are a pretty small group but always happy to have people join. Dr. Essy is one of my favorites too. I'm not 100% all the time myself, the vegan junk food derails me now and then, but I know I feel best when I stick to real food.

ohhh well you certainly are not alone on the vegan junk food.
That has been me as well and I will allow my junk food but due to health it's been made much easier to force me to eat healthy. It's so neat most of us are on the same journey :)

Daya, for the most part I eat very simply. When I try to get fancy and/or plan too far ahead then I get off track and fall back on pre-fab food. I make big batches of soups and stews, lately almost exclusively in the instant pot which terrified me for a long time and now I use once or twice a week. The soups and stews cover lunch and sometimes again for dinner for 4 or 5 days, and I just fill in with salads, baked sweet or white potatoes, steamed fresh or frozen veggies, oats, fruit, etc.

Hi Daya, welcome!
I am a comfort eater too. It's a journey!
Right now I'm trying to have a salad with tofu for my first meal of the day to help me avoid cravings in the evening. I've had some success with it. Even if I still have a snack at night I figure I at least got in those extra leafy greens.

Hi Carla, that's so awesome to read!
Thanks for your message, sometimes it feels like I'm so alone eating my foods too (especially for breaky… lol).
I just finished having my dinner left overs of quinua, broccoli, lentils and tofu for my breakfast 😁

Hi Mihani,
I love your process, I do same with dense veggie soups, quinoa, legumes and try hard to keep lots of fruit on hand. I absolutely love having community with this, it's so helpful for me to stay on course

Breakfast has been a difficult one for me. Eating a salad for breakfast seems very odd, and I can't face lettuce too early in the morning, but if I put it off until around 10:30 or 11:30 and call it brunch it works.
Here's today's brunch. 1/2 head of romaine, 1 big handful mixed greens, all chopped with salad scissors so it fits in the bowl. Then shredded carrots and slices of bell pepper. I forgot to add tomatoes today and if I had pistachios left I'd sprinkle some on top.
The dressing is a red wine vinaigrette that I have used for years now OH and I almost forgot… topped with air fried tofu. The tofu is crucial for me so that I have something warm to eat.

Hi Bisky!! Your trip sounded fun, busy and well what is a visit without the drama 😏 amongst family (great pictures though!)
Carla, I agree… that salad dressing looks mouthwatering. I am going to work harder to get my salad in much earlier in the day, I eat it for dinner but it's been tough
