    The hash looks delicious! Which island group did you visit? :)

    On deck for me today: Avocado, diced tomatoes, pitted dates, romaine lettuce, (avo toast with side greens, etc) shaved brussel sprouts, zig zag butternut squash (last serving of St. Patty's Day dinner), a banana, jumbo flame raisins, and perhaps that pom blueberry juice (we'll see). Macademia nuts and walnuts, too.

    Raining here again!

    I got new exercises added to at-home routine (side leg lifts), and she gave me a modification for one of the stability ball exercises that was painful. The exercise was holding the ball between your calves, and raising and lowering your legs; the modification is a half-bicycle crunch, to target the abs in a different way. And got a different foot placement to try on the leg press at Planet Fitness, so the initial start is less painful. 👍

    She said I did great! Yay! 💪🦵😇😎

    morning eats…

    I’m loving broccoli slaw lately… (carrots and shredded broccoli)

    I throw it in a pan with a wee bit of olive oil and herbs.. and use it as a base for anything! Here it’s mixed with an egg and chicken sausage.

    anti inflammatory potion 🧪:)

    Turmeric- ginger/ I added a hit of veggie juice to it.

    What a great idea for broccoli! Do you make it yourself, or buy it like that?

    This morning, this outrageously good Trader Joe's bread (I don't know what makes it so good, but I really noticed it when I was using it for dipping, for my Potato and Bean soup this week; lightly toasted, it tastes like homemade bread, all gooey and delicious) toast w/ a bit of butter, and Mrs Bridge's Four Fruits Marmalade, Turkish Airlines packet of roasted hazelnuts (which were amazingly good!), protein tea, and pom blueberry juice.

    @mkksemail - i bought it like that!

    Can be dressed up really easily! I like it in the wok for a few minutes…

    ps - yum that bread has flax in it!

    oooooo, very cool !! And yes, it sounds very versatile ! I grew up with a gas stove, but have an electric stove now. Not the best for woks. Wok cooking is so cool, tho!

    Yes, flax seeds in the bread! I shop for fiber content, usually. I try not to buy any bread that has only 1g of fiber per slice (or equivalent slice - sometimes bakery breads have 2g of fiber, but they're oversized slices, so not more fiber content). I've been sticking with Dave's Killer for a number of years now, but recently tried branching out to try some others. TJ's is very near to Planet Fitness, so I've stopped in a couple times, when I'm visiting the gym. This bread had 3g of fiber per slice, so I tried it. But. It. Is. So. Good!! So close to a fresh-from-the-oven consistency, after a light toasting !

    Last slice for bfast this morning. Copy/paste/repeat of yesterday - slice of toast (yum!) with Mrs Bridges Four Fruits Marmalade, a bit of butter, and Turkish Airlines roasted hazelnuts bag (last bag of those, too! lol). AND last glass of pom blueberry juice, as well.

    I've been reading your posts and looking at the beautiful greens!

    Even though I'm not posting it all gives me inspiration and I continue to have my greens.

    I'm able to eat more raw veggies now.

    Broccoli is on my list. I'm making fresh Broccoli slaw salad for Easter Sunday.

    Thanks for inspiring me!

    Happy Monday, Ali-cat! They inspire me, too. Love SGs greens inspirations so much. Winter returned this weekend, snow on Sat, a dusting more on Sun. All melting today, tho. Up to 50F. Mad swings this winter and spring .😄

    Avo etc on deck for me today. Happy Green Day, Team Green!

    PS, just wanted to say, @SafariGalNYC , so glad you changed 💡 to SPRING challenge, from monthly, so we don't have to start a new April thread :D.

    Ate avo, etc, so was able to check off Eat a Green Freggie, Eat a Nuts serving, and Eat 3+ Freggies in a day from my list.

    :D

    Do you guys mostly juice or do you use a blender and mix smoothies?

  • SafariGalNYC
    SafariGalNYC Posts: 2,094 Member

    @slstover35 - I actually use a vitamix for everything.

  • mkksemail
    mkksemail Posts: 3,310 Member

    I mostly try very hard to get at least 3 veg a day. Turns out, I'd be happy never eating another freg, but I've made big strides in improving that. I made my first smoothie in this group. I've also purchased large juice packs from Raw Generation and Raw Fountain, which is a fantastic way to get some freg. Not as good as smoothies, b/c no fiber, but it's better than no freg, right? :D I also love roasted, and smuggled freg. Freg in eggs, freg in soups, freg in one-pot meal. Etc. I've discovered that freg with breakfast is not only a thing, it's a really useful and good thing :)

    aww, thx, Ali! also! oooo, sounds delicious, Ali! Do you freeze your bananas in-peel? Sliced?

    Thursday checkin!

    Avo toast, etc with Feta cheese, on Tue. Same again, but without Feta cheese, on Wed :)

    I have been using Chat GPT the last 3 days to help me learn how to automate my freggie tracker spreadsheet tables. I think I'm close to auto-populating the summary lists, and feeding it into my (Hogwarts) Unbreakable Vow tracking table! I'm geekily excited about this :p

    Cheers to all <3

    @SafariGalNYC

    Thanks, I need to pile on the veggies! Carrots and hummus today with a Red leaf salad.

    @mkksemail - I freeze my bananas and usually use frozen berries too.
    I peel ripe bananas and put three in a zip lock and smush them flat, then freeze.

    Chat GPT is a hoot! Def has a personality. As I mentioned, I've been using it this week to help me finish automating my Freggie Tracker spreadsheet, and feeding it into my Hogwarts Unbreakable Vow tracking table. I don't know if this snippet of conversation will make sense, but it made me laugh out loud ("nice try, citrus condiment! 😂🤣)! It was smart enough to know that including lemon juice on my list of 'other freggies' wasn't exactly up to spec ;-)

    Also, veggie enthusiast crepes, carrot and hummus salad, smushed frozen bananas (brill!), oh my! Loving the vibe on Team Green today! Xx
