@trooworld I’m glad you’re feeling a little less tired today. Great deal on deciding to track! Glad it wasn’t raining when you left work that would’ve stunk!

WHAT IS THE ONE THING THAT WENT WRONG IN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY AND HOW DID YOU OVERCOME IT? My CRPS came out of remission so it felt like I basically slipped back into hell. I haven’t managed to overcome it, it’s a daily battle but I’m trying to hold onto the life I built in spite of it. I’m healthier than when I started out even if I’m overweight again.

@TeresaW2024 You’re definitely starting the month off right! Sounds like a very busy day, hope you’re able to get everything done.

@AUtinRuadhain So glad you’re back! You did great yesterday! I like the idea of paring it down it makes it less likely you’ll give up on the whole day today. Hope you get through the day and get as much as you can done.

@DrewsAnna I hope you’re able to get in fast with the doctor about your knee. Good luck with the treadmill, if you need some more upper body cardio workouts let me know.

@sleepygirl79 I’m glad you did introduce yourself and join in. I hope your plantar fasciitis improves I know that’s a hard one to work around especially as a runner.

@bobboyardee Interesting viewing how you’ve been doing reaching out to a coach sounds like a good idea it may be just what you need.

Hi friends! We’re having a real rainy day so aside of some errands this morning I’ve been inside trying to get paperwork-type stuff off my to-do list. I have micro current class tonight and am hoping it goes by fast as I’m not feeling well and want to stay in bed. I’m supposed to go early to discuss working for her again too. Not much else going on, have a great Wednesday!

@TeresaW2024 Oh that's good it washed away the pollen. Your allergies must be really bad this time of year. Thank you! It was better yesterday. Yay for not gaining! Those are good goals. 8 lbs might be a little high-reaching but go for it! I hope yesterday went okay, that does sound like a busy day. I love your answer, I agree.

@AustinRuadhain Good job checking things off your list!

@DrewsAnna I hope you can get some answers about your knee. I have moderate to severe arthritis in my knee and I have had two shots of cortisone in it: one was given by my primary care doctor and I don't think she got it in the right area because when the orthopedic doctor gave me a 2nd shot, it hurt like h@#l and it worked. The first shot did not work.

@Katmary71 Thank you! I'm glad you are healthier than when you started out, despite your CRPS. I hope you got to go home and rest.

    @laurelfit57 Congrats on the loss!

DISCUSSION QUESTION: What is one thing that went WRONG in your weight loss journey and how did you overcome it?
Beginning in about 2022/2023, I was on a slow ascent as far as my weight went: I was gaining 1-2 lbs a week on a consistent basis. I just couldn't seem to eat less to get me in a deficit. So, I explored weight loss surgery and eventually had it in December 2024. Best decision (for me).

Hi all. I got off early yesterday at 1 pm: my MIL was getting out of the hospital and we had to pick her up, but we didn't have to do that until around 6 pm. I just felt like I needed a break. My DH and I went for coffee and read. We got my MIL home, and that was about the end of our day.

    Tracked yesterday? YES

Oh, I thought I posted this yesterday, but here it is still in Draft form.

I had a busy day I went for a Thyroid Ultrasound; Thyroid Blood Work and I got a Covid Booster. My arm is sore, and I felt a bit feverish but other than that I'm ok. The front brakes on my Trike are not working and I'm waiting for the replacement part, I'm a bit worried to ride with only the rear brakes but I really need the exercise and relaxing feeling from a good ride. It's cold here with rain expected in a few days. I've stopped eating the animal cookies at night it was giving me a stomachache. I'm almost done eating the box of Sugar Free Peanut Brittle so my weight should drop back down soon.

    Good morning Slims,

First off a quick intro for those that don't Know me my name is Sandy and I have been married to my wonderful husband for almost 29 yrs. We have 2 awesome children with families of their own. Up until 2013 I did pretty good at keeping my weight under control, it was starting to creep up as I was moving into my 40's. In 2013 I was at 150 when I had my heart attack and quit smoking I gained 36 lbs. in just over a yr, no matter what I did to keep it off. in Aug. of '15 I decided to really get serious about losing. I lost 16 lbs but for the last 10 yrs, I have struggled with losing and gaining the same 5 to 10 lbs. This yr is the yr that things will change for me.

I started Wegovy March 23 and have done 2 of the .25mg, so far I have noticed the food noise is gone. I am eating less by feeling fuller faster. I am back to logging in MFP to make sure I am eating enough protein. I am walking 3 days a week getting in over 10k steps those days and 2 days a week I am doing toning workouts. The weekends are my days off for recovery. As things move forward I will adjust workouts. I am hoping for a 1 to 1.5 lb loss a week.

I am going to work at trying to chim in more often. I just seem to get overwhelmed with chiming in due to the fact I am not good at typing. It took me forever to get this far.

I hope everyone has a great day.

On cycle and leg strain for a few days, which left me not exercising much and eating more. Which could be cause for some weight gain. Hopefully, I can get back on track soon.

. @trooworld thank you! I’m glad you’re considering your surgery the best thing you did. Oh extra time to drink coffee and read sound just like what the doctor ordered! How is your MIL doing?

@FushiaKat Big medical day wow! Shoot I’m sorry to hear about your trike brakes how frustrating, be careful riding with just the back brakes. Sounds like you’re still rocking maintaining that’s great!

@txcritter69 Hugs I look forward to you chiming in more! If you’re not up for typing much just update us on you I love reading how everyone is doing. I’m so glad Wegovy is helping the food noise! Sounds like you’re doing great right now.

@lislisa123 You’ll get back on track how is your leg doing now? It IS hard when you can’t exercise NOT to eat more.

Hi gang! Spent the morning at the food bank farm then went to Ace Hardware to pick up jars for mushroom growing and went to Lowe’s. For some reason I couldn’t get an order to go through for pickup even with talking to customer service (something’s wrong with the website today) so I went and had someone help me get the large bags of garden soil and potting mix from the store to my trunk. Class last night went to 10PM it was a long night! Have a great Thursday gang!

    Austin here. Good evening!

@DrewsAnna - Thank you! I so get the yoyo problem. I am right there. I hope that the treadmill session went well, and that Chipper wasn't too unhappy.

@sleepygirl79 - I have had a bought with plantar fasciitis, and it was no fun. Hang in there!

@bobboyardee - An ADHD coach! You made me giggle!

@Katmary71 - I hope you are feeling a little better today, and that the paperwork project was productive!

@laurelfit57 - Hurray for that loss!

So, I am aiming to check in in the morning (feel free to skip over these, but I find it super helpful), but the day got away from me.

I did indeed have way too much to do yesterday. But I did some good things, so yay for that. Progress.
🟒 track my intake in MFP
πŸ”΄ get in a long walk or stairstepping - no special session, but I did surpass my overall steps goal
    🟒 at least 12 flights of stairs - I hit 23!
    🟒 get in some calisthenics

    Goals for today
🟒 track my intake in MFP
βšͺ get in a long walk or stairstepping (not yet)
🟑 at least 10 flights of stairs (halfway there!)

@FushiaKat I hope they can fix your brakes soon.

@txcritter69 That's great that the food noise is gone. Have a good day!

@Katmary71 I really do consider surgery the best thing I did. Even with the pain I've had recently. My MIL is much better, thank you! I'm glad the Lowe's trip worked out. Wow, 10 pm, that IS a long night!

@AustinRuadhain Great day yesterday, woo hoo!

I had a busy day yesterday at work. Came home and made a nice asparagus and couscous salad and topped it with shrimp. I'm glad today's Thursday, the week has went by pretty quickly.

Sorry for my absence the past week and a half. @TeresaW2024 put me in my place and it took me some time to process what she wrote in a positive way. My knee-jerk reaction was to pout and be indignant. I'm thankful for that, tho, cuz I needed it.

    Onto my intro…

Hello everyone! My name is Jennifer and I’m a single 51 year old. I have an American Blue rabbit (her name is Kismet). I have 3 children in their 20s and they have all blessed me…I went from zero to 5 grandchildren in 22 months! I go by Grammy since I consider them to be my Grammy Awards 😊

I love to rubber stamp (I’m a Stampin’ Up demo) and make cards. I'm an active member of my church, and also love horror movies. I have worked in Community Development at my County for over 20 years.

I have always been a yo-yo dieter, but mostly up. When I lose weight, I can never seem to keep it off for longer than a year. I have 54 more pounds to lose (goal is 155). I am a Negative Nancy, but I am trying to stay focused and positive (completely losing that battle right now). I am trying to use a daily planner to note how I’m feeling, if I have an NSV, if I have something good or bad happen, etc. I’m hoping I can look back after each month to see if there are any patterns.

My Mantra: 2025 is MY year!

@kerritho It just dawned on meyou're probably a day ahead of us like my friend in New Zealand, Iwas going to tell you if you wanted to weigh tomorrow you can butyou're likely just leading the pack on Friday.

Hi team! Had a good day, my morning was the greenhouse followed by the farm pulling weeds. I met my Dad for coffee and to get his weed eater and stopped at Costco then my roommate and I had terriyaki chicken salads for dinner. Debating on a bath tonight but haven't made up my mind yet. Tomorrow I'm picking up more bags to grow mushrooms in after the farm, I'm hoping the change in weather helps us be more successful! Have a great Friday.

@Katmary71 It was good! How are you doing on tracking? Terriyaki chicken salad sounds good. How are you feeling? I hope good.

@Cornanda Good job on the loss! Are you still liking the Mayo Clinic program?

Hi all. It's been nice this week: no traffic at all...I can only attribute this to it being spring break and everyone must be out of town. I think we are going to go to Sam's Club tonight to get that out of the way. I don't like to go any time besides first thing in the morning but if my husband goes with me, I am willing to go at other times. My anxiety gets very high. I lost 1.2 lbs this week.

Good morning! I was all set to post yesterday when Joe got up and passed out. I had a heck of a time getting him up off the floor. I tested him, and he was positive for another UTI and way too out of it to get him to urgent care, so an ambulance came, and we spent four hours in the ER. This episode of getting him up off the floor was my final straw, and I ordered an expensive electric lift chair that goes flat to the floor. Once you get the person who has fallen on it, a remote control will raise the chair so the person is sitting. We will practice using it once it arrives, so when the time comes, hopefully, it will pay for itself. And even though my day was a bust from working out, I did stick to my calorie count for the day and track my food, and my scale rewarded me this morning! πŸ™‚

    trooworld Posts: 7,345 Member

@TeresaW2024 Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear about this episode. I'm glad you could order something to help get him off the ground. Despite the stress, you stuck with your eating plan, that's awesome! Congrats on the loss!

    Hi πŸ‘‹

It seems I have been so busy the last couple of days, but I haven't accomplished a thing. I went to the dr yesterday and they sent me for xrays for my knee. After the xrays, I walked around a little bit because the sunshine felt really good on me, even though, it was still pretty cool outside. Today it's going to be low 60's and tomorrow upper 60's. I'm planning on getting outside very soon.

Yesterday, I was full of really bad food choices πŸ˜• 😐 and the scale definitely reflected that this morning. Today, my goal is to get back on track and make better food choices.

    Y'all have a great day πŸ˜€

    Awesome day 😎

The sun was shining, I wore a light flannel shirt over my t-shirt. I kinda made hubby walk with me in the preserve across the street. I let Chipper run without the leash and he had a blast. Here are a few pictures I took.

@DrewsAnna I'm glad you went for an X-ray. Hopefully you can get some answers. Great pictures, that looks like a nice place to walk.

Hi all. I ended up having a migraine all day yesterday and, to some extent, it's still there. The migraine med I took didn't take it fully away. Sam's Club with a migraine was a bit annoying but it wasn't too busy so it was tolerable. Today, I am going to a museum about 1 1/2 hours away with a former coworker. It should be fun as long as my migraine doesn't come back fully. I've been tracking pretty consistently for about 5 days now.
