    Hi, I'm Lisa!

-Been in this group about 5 years
    -Married 33 years
-two adult offspring….. (can you call them kids once they grow up? What do you call them?)- DS has moved out, DD lives here
    -Small crazy dog- Gus
    -Live in FL
-been struggling with weight for years due to my "mature" age- finally making some progress on the Mayo Clinic Diet

@trooworld - glad your MIL is out of the hospital. Is your stomach all better? Nice loss this week! Congrats! Hope the traffic is not awful next week. I'm still enjoying Mayo. I'm not a big fan of their recipes- that's probably my only beef with it. They are mostly tasty, but there's too much repetition. You are able to do your own meals, and I've been doing that for a couple weeks now and it's working! In the long run, that's probably best, because I'm learning skills I will need later.

@TeresaW2024 - Oh No! I hope Joe is OK now and good for you sticking to your calories on such a stressful day!

@bethanie0825 - congrats on the amazing loss!

@DrewsAnna - yay for getting out with DH and Chipper!- Looks like a lovely day!

DD is still gone with her new beau quite a bit. Last night DH and I went out to dinner, today we may go plant shopping- it's past time to get our yard spruced up- soon it will be hot here and that is not good for new plants or for the humans doing the planting!

@trooworld I hope your migraine doesn’t return and you can enjoy your day at the museum with your friend. Good job on tracking! 🙂

@Cornanda Do you think your DD is in love?  😍

Good morning! Joe is feeling better, but yesterday morning, he choked on his cereal, which scared us both! He ended up OK but had a sore throat and was hoarse. We will probably stay home again from church tomorrow so that I can keep him from overdoing it. Today, I am going to work out and do some housework. I just got a new 3000-piece puzzle that will be a real challenge, so I am sure I will begin that today since I just finished the last one. 🙂

QUESTION OF THE WEEK: What was the last thing you searched for? Earlier this week, I tore the house apart looking for a specific button, one that I'd bought at a craft fair, that I wanted to use for the closure for a purse I was crocheting. Finally found it. Turns out it was not at all suitable for the closure, so I ended up crocheting a button.

And then yesterday, I searched high and low again, this time looking for a couple of USB charging blocks. I normally had them plugged into the outlet, but when I did spring cleaning, I guess I unplugged them and put them away….somewhere. After having torn the house apart looking for the button, I knew already where they were NOT located. I did finally find them, in the kitchen "junk" drawer. Thing is, I looked in there at least 3 times before I finally saw them. In the meantime, I had texted Rich to see if he had used them, and he ended up buying me two more before he left work. The ones he bought glow in the dark!

Good morning, I know I’m not here much. This app gives me fits. Anyways it’s day four of storms here. This morning we were awakened by a hail storm. It sounded like machine gunfire. If you’re in the path of this stay safe.

    Good morning 🌞🌞

My knee is hurting really bad today. I tripped over a few tree roots while out walk and that hurt. As the day went on, it started hurting more. The yesterday as I was getting up off the toilet, my knee did this snap, crackle and pop thing. I have barely been able to walk since then. It's going to be another beautiful day and I can barely walk. Tomorrow, it's going back to cold and raining. Just my luck, grrr…

Well, one the bright side… I got a good walk in yesterday.

Side note.... hubby has been catering to me, he brought me my coffee and is currently making us breakfast. Lol... 😅😅

Here's a picture of my grand babe and my best buddy Chipper ❤️

You know, one of these days I'm actually going to introduce myself…

BREAKING NEWS: I did not eat after dinner on Thursday or Friday!

    TODAY IS DAY 3

@TeresaW2024 - I think it's too soon to say if she's in love. Glad Joe is OK. How scary.

@micaroo4 - the purse is gorgeous! I love the button you made. Who knew they made glow in the dark chargers?!

@19shmoo69 - That's a lot of hail. Hope it melts quickly and the storms have passed.

@DrewsAnna - that sounds painful. I'm glad your husband is taking care of you and hope that you are able to get answers soon.

@bobboyardee- No dinner- good for you. If you are not going to introduce yourself, you could introduce your dog who is our new team member!

What have I searched for? Yesterday, DH and I were looking for a binder that has our yard plant info in it. We want to move some plants. DH said it was a tan binder- looked all over. Finally found it on a bookshelf and it is a RED binder. I think I will label it now. We kind of struck out with plants at Lowe's last night. Going somewhere else today. Next weekend is a HUGE plant sale that we love to go to.

@19shmoo69 So sorry you are dealing with the storms. That is some serioius hail! 😮

@DrewsAnna I am so sorry for your knee and hope it heels up quickly.

@Cornanda have fun with your planting! You need to show us a picture of your yard when you and DH get it all done. Definitely label that binder! 😂

Good morning! We are staying home from church again this week. Joe is doing better, but his throat hurts, and his allergies are kicking up, which is typical this time of year. We did a bad thing yesterday and got Chick-fil-A for dinner. Their new BBQ bacon chicken sandwich is super tasty but very high in calories! I’m going to have to starve the next two days and pray I don’t have a big gain on Tuesday. No one to blame but myself. 🙄

@Cornanda My stomach IS better, thanks! And thanks about the traffic...I've had enough of that lol. That's too bad about the repetition of the diet recipes. I'm glad you found a work-around. That's good DD is still smitten with her new boyfriend. I hope you got to go plant shopping. I need to plant some flowers or something in my window boxes! I'm glad you found your binder! Sorry you struck out at Lowe's.

@TeresaW2024 Ugh, it was still there somewhat but I did enjoy the museum and my friend. It was nice getting out and about! I'm glad Joe is feeling better but man, that must have been frightening. Enjoy your whopper of a puzzle! :D Mmmm Chick-fil-A!

    @gemwolf110 Congrats on the loss!

@micaroo4 Pretty purse! I'm glad the USB charging blocks worked out.

@19shmoo69 WOW! That's scary. Stay safe.

ICE BREAKER QUESTION: What is the last thing you searched for?
Yesterday, I found a Monet brand starburst necklace from the 1970s at an antique shop that I wanted. It was overpriced though at $80. So, I searched (online) for it and found a similar one for $16.50 on eBay. I made an offer for $14 plus shipping, we'll see if they respond (so far, they haven't). In real life, the last thing I searched for was a black t-shirt to wear yesterday lol.

Hi all. I had a very packed day yesterday. I left the house at about 8:45 am and picked up my friend. We made it to the museum at about 10:30 am. The exhibit was fabulous! I will share some pics from the exhibit: it was a jewelry artist using anodized titanium and gemstones to create nature-based sculptural works. Absolutely stunning. We spent about two hours there and then went to the city of Orange to have lunch. We ate at a dim sum place, I had an udon noodle dish, which I did not like so I barely ate any of it. After that, we went to an authentic chai shop and I got a Masala chai which I enjoyed. We walked around in antique stores and then I left. It took me double the time to get home, over 2 hours, because of traffic. NO reason at all, just a lot of people trying to come down to San Diego to have a nice weekend. Got home and hung out a bit and then my husband and I went out for non-alcoholic drinks. I still had a migraine but it was better than on Friday. Today is my art opening, it should be fun. Also, a before and during of my face. The before is from 2024, the during is from yesterday.

    Tracked yesterday? No :(

SOMETHING I'VE LAST BEEN SEARCHING FOR was a raffle ticket at a plant faire I went to yesterday, I must've dropped it between my handouts, walker, and tray of plants. Real disappointing to lose it they had a lot of cool prizes! My fav herb farm was there so I was loaded down with plants and struggling to get around.

19shmoo69 My prayers for all those in the path of these storms. So very sad how many have lost their lives.  😢

@trooworld What gorgeous art sculptures. I am so amazed by talented people! Sounds like you had a great day. I love the side-by-side pics of your face! You are making incredible progress! 🤩

@Katmary71 It's a bummer that you lost the raffle ticket.  ☹️

Good morning! There's not much going on today besides the usual workout and house stuff. I do need to put together a menu and grocery list. Figuring out what to eat so that it doesn’t blow my diet and also be something Joe can eat is super annoying. I used to love cooking, but now I find it a bother and a struggle. Oh well, that is my third-world issue for today. I hope you have a wonderful day and try to complain less than I do. 🙄😀

ICE BREAKER QUESTION: What is the last thing you searched for?

I’ve been searching the web for three things lately. First, I'm looking for a new coverlet for my bed—I found the perfect one, but of course, it’s out of stock! Second, I'm looking for new wall art for my bedroom and dining room. Third, I'm looking for the best volume shampoo for my ever-increasing thinning hair!! 😕

@bethanie0825 Congrats on achieving 1st place! WOO HOO!!! And another shout-out goes to @kerritho @sleepygirl79 and @Cornanda for making it onto the leaderboard!

    @txcritter69 Congrats on the loss!

    @Cornanda Thank you!

@TeresaW2024 I agree! I had a great Saturday and a great weekend. Thank you! That stinks that menu planning is a struggle now. It's kind of been a hassle for me too, since surgery: my husband doesn't want to eat the same stuff as me so I make a meal plan for myself, have to half every recipe (which can get wonky) and then have to try to cook while he's in the tiny kitchen at the same time. :( Sorry, I didn't complain less than you lol. Good luck on your searches! Do you take biotin?

Hi all. The art opening was fun: the art is hanging on the wall of a coffee shop so I grabbed a coffee and sat and did a piece of art that my sister-in-law commissioned me to make of a fox in a suit and glasses. I had a few people come up to me and comment on it as I worked, which was nice. I finished the piece by the time we were ready to leave. My SIL came to the opening because she was picking up a piece she bought from me, and she also bought the piece that was hanging in the show, so that was nice. I made Chilorio (Sinaloa Style Shredded Pork) for dinner, which is a Mexican dish. I made tacos out of it. I also made dill pickle hummus for a snack with celery sticks.

    Tracked yesterday? No :(

@TeresaW2024 My dear Teresa, I ache for you. The falls are the worst part second only to getting them back up. Mami weighed only 120 pounds so that was manageable but an adult man would be impossible for me. And when they fall, they're dead weight so it's all on you. I'm glad you got the equipment you need to help you with this. I found myself reassessing furniture placement as I was always scared to death she would hit the corner of a table with her head or some other dreadful thing. Work on your upper body strength and core and legs. My heart is with you.

    Hi 👋

I haven't done very much this weekend. I get up and walk around for maybe 5-10 min and then I need to sit down for a bit. I walked all little normal for a bit this morning. My dr called on Friday and said the xrays revealed mild arthritis. I call bull, and will be calling back today. On a good note, I have been getting a little spoiled and I'm loving that part of it. 😉☺️
