Bulletproof-Style Keto Coffee Shake (Double Portion) – My Morning Game-Changer

Thought I’d share something that’s been a total game-changer for me lately — especially if you’re doing keto, training, or just trying to stop morning cravings from wrecking your day.
It’s my own twist on the classic bulletproof coffee, but I’ve beefed it up with protein to actually keep me full and help hit my macros. I’ve been drinking this most mornings before the gym or when breaking a fast — and honestly, it’s been spot on.
☕ Bulletproof Keto Coffee – Double Portion
What’s in it (all weighed for MFP):
- 60g Impact Whey (I use MyProtein Vanilla)
- 20g Kerrygold butter (or 30ml double cream)
- 200ml unsweetened almond milk (warmed up)
- 20g peanut butter (optional, but adds richness)
- 4g instant coffee (or a double espresso if you’re fancy)
- 4g vanilla extract (optional, adds sweetness without sugar)
- 2g sweetener (erythritol or whatever you like)
- 5g creatine (optional, I take mine in the morning)
🔍 Macros (for the double batch):
- Calories: 527 kcal
- Fat: 32.7g
- Protein: 42.8g
- Net Carbs: 3.8g
⚡ Why I love it:
- Keeps me full for hours — zero urge to snack
- Gets me fired up for training without caffeine jitters
- Actually tastes banging (like a posh frothy mocha)
- Helps me hit my protein target without having to eat loads
I warm the almond milk, chuck it all in a blender, and whizz it until it’s frothy and smooth. Sometimes I’ll even sip it during my warm-up if I’m short on time.

Once I was "fat adapted" I found I didn't have the morning munchies. Since going more carnivore, I generally eat once a day after getting home from work, and I don't get hungry until about the same time the next day. When I do get hungry earlier, it is usually because I didn't have enough fat.

I do something like this once or twice a week but I may try adding peanut butter.
