@izzyred9400 - The medical staff must love seeing you — a model patient! I’m sure it raises their spirits to see a positive example of aging well. I hope you enjoy your birthday tomorrow! 🎉🥳🎉
@angmarie28 - I hope you feel better soon! ❤️🩹
@nancyinmiami - It will be nice to get some independence back now that you’re clear to drive. You’ve also been the model patient through your surgery and recovery period. I hope the fog has lifted and your vision feels better!
My mother wasn’t feeling confident enough while driving so I took her for an occupational therapy assessment. She didn’t pass the tests so she gave up her license. She had already stopped driving because of her diminished confidence but it was a blow to her feeling of independence. She isn’t mobile enough to take advantage of the Boston public transportation system so it’s another great reminder for us the stay active — like our Shape Shifter team! 🤩
I’m always impressed with the people in the step challenge for inspiring us to stay active, too! Keep up the good work, everyone! 👍🏼

Just a quick note to the team captains — @jessicakrall8 and @frankwbrown: I’m in Boston again, and I couldn’t get my mother’s scale to work this morning, so I may need to skip tomorrow’s weigh-in report. I’ll buy some new batteries today and try it again.

Been extremely stressed out with work receiving new things to do after 20+ employees were let go at the bank last week - and along with that trying to learn 2 new programs to do these jobs and with no help/training - I'm supposed to figure it out for myself - I'm so overwhelmed 😞😢

Please skip my weigh-in for Sunday, Apr 6th. We were out of town.

I have a stomach bug so no workouts, can manage about 1000 calories just dry toast, tea, banana etc.... and still have to chase my four year old and do all t house work. The joys of solo parenting ☺️ I feel like crap but I know I lost weight. Oh well…it feels like I cheated but I showed up big time through the waves of nausea so I'll take it 🥳

On the mend finally, day 6 of being sick. I know it doesn't seem like much, but I am never sick more than 3 days, and usually only a day or 2, but this cold kicked my butt. I worked out yesterday, just weights because I was still sick so did 40 minutes of shoulders and arms and Skipped the cardio. Today I was feeling almost normal so I got on my spin bike...well lasted 8 minutes at about 75% my normal effort and my heart rate shot up to 150s, I stopped and let if come down a few minutes in, then started again and same thing, out of breath, felt like crap, so I said screw the cardio and did 40 minutes of shoulders and back. Hopefully it's better tomorrow, I want to do leg day but it might be too much if I'm not over this crap.

I am a little cranky at my body. I weighed in at 212.6 today, but I just KNOW on weigh-in day it will be back up. I've been moving more this week, but haven't had the time or energy to try exercise yet. Just trying to work on spring cleaning has increased the amount of lifting and moving I am doing!

Week Reflection
I feel like my weight is starting to just bounce around the same couple of pounds with no real loss or gain.
I had some tough times this week, emotionally. We had an appointment with my sons' geneticist on Monday. The appointment went fine, but they always just put me in a tailspin of emotions. There were a couple of days where I just ate too much.
Other than that, my food has been okay, but not perfect by any stretch. The handful of crackers here and some nuts there probably aren't helping. But I think the main thing is I need to get more consistent with working out. My walks are not going to be as constant anymore because the weather is heating up. Yesterday was our first triple digit heat. I need to get back in the routine of going to the gym regularly. I have been very sporadic lately.
