    Saturday Weigh-In

    PW: 217.6
    CW: 218.6

I am staying under 220 at least. 😆I talked to my boyfriend and we’re gonna set up a Switch dock in our bedroom so I can play some Samba de Amigo when the living room tv is busy. Our TV is mounted high up in our room so we gotta get shelves to sit the Switch on.

We are also learning I’m the only person in this household that experiences a post-exercise high. I keep saying that my muscles tingle after a workout and nobody gets it 🤣

@ElfBodGoals I definitely get a post work-out high, but it's more of a euphoria and surge of energy vs anything physical.

I went to body pump this morning, they had a launch of a new release. Those are always fun and lots of people showed up today! Tomorrow, I have my 5k training program and it will finally be sunny!

Gotta figure out what I'm doing tonight. Either finishing up a crochet blanket or working on a puzzle. Such fun Saturday night plans 🤣

Thank you for the lovely wishes, ladies. It's been a hell of a week, and this coming one will also be challenging, we have the memorial on Wednesday.

I've been keeping sane by not stopping - projects, exercise, cleaning etc etc. I actually ran my first non-stop 5km on Saturday, I joined a Parkrun expecting to walk/run and once I started I just didn't stop. I also joined the gym again, and have been cleared to go back to Pilates after having my gall bladder out.

I don't really have many people to talk to about this, most of my friends would find it super weird that I'm out keeping myself crazy busy and working out like a demon to stop from losing my mind, so I hope no one minds if I ramble a bit in here about it...

@Alatariel75 that is what we are here for! Anytime! I do not think it is weird that you are keeping busy. Yes, you will need time to process everything, but you also don't need to spend 24/7 crying and just laying around (which is what would happen to me if I didn't keep busy). Hugs to you! 💕

This weekend has gone by too fast! I am just glad that we have a 4 day week with our office being closed for Good Friday 😊

    Discussion Question:

Haven't done a question in a few weeks. If you could travel anywhere, where would you want to go?

I would love to see a bit of Europe on a river cruise!

    Good Morning Happy Monday !

I had a good weekend, I think we picked out the flooring. But more importantly, I got all my dahlias, and zinnias and some other fun plants planted. We are not doing any veggie this year, they just don't seem to work out.

Food was pretty good, movement was great. I got rid of most of the snacks, so I am hoping this week will be better.

    Have a good day

USA folk remember to do your taxes (I'm doing mine today).

I got 11k steps yesterday. Pikmin Bloom has "community days" where you can earn virtual flower badges for hitting 10k steps. There were two days to try for it, but they don't accumulate across the two days. Saturday I thought IKEA would be enough, it definitely wasn't but it was productive and the cafeteria rocks. Sunday, I showed my boyfriend a 2.6 mile trail I like. That and a grocery run did it!!

@lauren_989 - if I could travel anywhere, it would be Machu Picchu. This has been a bucket list destination since I first learned about it as a teenager. I was hoping to go for my 40th birthday, but that's happening in 2.5 months with no plans to be there, so by my 50th for sure!

This week, our company has a booth at an expo in Charlotte, North Carolina. The president of our company goes every year, and it makes sense if he goes with someone from our management team. This year, he chose to take our administrative assistant/customer service rep. I suggested early on, before his decision, that I should be the person to go for a myriad of reasons - I'm the #2 person in our company, it would be good to let people know I took over for the last CFO, I work with both customers and vendors, I have been to expo before and know how to help/what to expect, I have been to Charlotte and could help out with suggestions of where to go, etc. - but he still chose her because he doesn't want me traveling for some reason. Our admin is an hourly employee which means she will probably make more than anyone on our payroll this week because of overtime. In her position, she works with a lot of customers, but this event is largely about building stronger relationships with vendors. Also, it is expected that she will spend a lot of her time at the expo on her computer working on things that need to get done here… so why waste so much money to send her there?

This was the wrong decision on his part for a lot of reasons. I love our admin and I really hope she has a great time while learning a lot. But, I was (and apparently still am) hurt by his decision. I have lost almost all respect I had for him, partially because of this, partially because it seems he has no respect for me, but mostly because when I tried to talk to him about it, he gaslighted me by trying to convince me that he didn't do or say the things I know he did and said. So, this week I am hurt and annoyed. But, my glimmer of hope with it is that one of our bosses is there, he is on my side with almost everything going on in the company, and is planning not just to talk with the president, but come down on him at this event.

Sorry for the long vent. I just needed to get this out, and all I get from my husband anymore is eye rolls.

@Alatariel75 - I know Lauren already said this, but you're definitely in the right place to talk about and vent anything you need. You're going through something horrible, and you're going to deal with it in whichever ways feel right. We are here for you.

@MaddawgMadsen that is awful! I think you mentioned this happened in the past as well. Not a good financial decision on his part either.

I had a great day today! Work was great and then went to body pump class. After, there was a local community college giving free 10 minute chair massages. A perfect end to the day!
