Sunday weigh in- lost 1.5 lb this week

( 107 lb lost from my highest weight of 340 lb )
I managed to go for a walk yesterday without ankle pain so plan to do another walk today.I once followed a 1500 cal a day food plan for almost 2 years without a single treat meal or deviation from plan. There was a first of month weigh in. It was a really useful experience because it proved to me that the bathroom scale is unpredictable and not a true reflection of progress. There was a month where I actually gained 2.5 lb, there was a month where I did insane amounts of walking but only lost 1 lb in a month, there was another month about a year in where I lost 12 lb. My weigh in results were all over the place but in the long run I lost over 177 in 2 years. I then put 77 lb back on because I could not sustain that level of discipline a moment longer and I went off the rails for a long time. It was useful to really know that there will be weight loss stalls and even gains along the way no matter how perfectly follow any plan. The body is doing what it needs to. Sometimes it is re-composing itself, gaining muscle, rest and repair stages, fluid retention, hormonal fluctuations β¦β¦β¦β¦β¦ I did nothing different the month I gained 2.5 lb to the month I lost 12 lb, my body was just doing what it needed to do.

What is one thing (mini goal) you plan to focus on this week to help you with your goals?
My plan is to increase my water. I have been slacking off on this the past few weeks.

Happy Monday! I screwed up all week. With my son's birthday and mothers day, I was just very depressed and ate my feelings. I am disappointed , but I am starting AGAIN!

@Calli1616 isn't it crazy how 1 day right before your weigh in day can mess it up? But I hope you enjoyed it!
@fatgottago I can only imagine how hard those days are for you. It's ok that you overate, recognized it, and can now get back on track. Eventually you may find something else that can soothe the depression, but just take it one day at a time π
Today was actually a good day at work. It was raining all day, but it went by fast. I'm excited because we are getting ready for our Myrtle Beach trip on Wednesday! My parents will meet us there, so I'm excited to see them as well! π

Now that my ankle is fully recovered I went for a lovely long walk over the hills again today. It was hot and sunny. I took my lunch out with me and enjoyed all my food today. I am working on slowly improving on the variety of foods I eat and trying to deliberately eat more to get out of my over restricting then binge eating cycle. I walk about quite a bit so need fuel.

I have gained this entire week. Not sure what is going on! I don't think my body likes carbs. I am going to drink water and leave the carbs alone this weekend and weigh Monday and see how it goes. I gained all I lost back last week! I didn't feel like I was eating a lot? It is just so aggrivating!

Hi, Team! I'm Chickie. I'm 45 and I live in NYC. I'm in a choir and I love music and theater. I'm actually pretty proud that I didn't gain too much weight during the last year of being inactive on MFP but I'm also really proud of myself for recognizing that I need to start being accountable again.
