Hey Chris,
My Hogwarts finals needed a dance inspired workout, so I used this Cardio Aerobics (Dance to the Beat). Really fun. I was probably more bouncy and less strenuous than the instructor, and that worked well for my knees. Thanks!

I got 5.32 miles done in 116 mins this morning. Took an umbrella cuz there was sunshine everywhere and the breeze wasn't too bad. Got it done before it got too hot.
Ronan is going to come over a little later to play games w/Grandpa. I am going to drink coffee and read!

Chris,
In my current state of mine, your walking five+ miles is absolutely astounding. It's like "How can she do that?!" But my memory (which is hard to believe) reminds me that I used to be able to do that too. You are an inspirational reminder that it may be possible to get there again.
Just wanted to say thanks 💪
Paula

Awww, Thank you, Paula!! You can get there again then we can make some kind of walking game or something.😁
I am looking forward to Sara finishing up at her school on the 13th then I'll be back to walking three or four days instead of one or two. 😃
Realized when I got home from my walk that I had on the wrong shoes! My right foot was so angry! I've never done that before!!

The medication I asked about is Trizepitide. Anyone here ever use it? Rocky is getting on it. He is really overweight. And is developing health issues due to it.
Chris I agree with Paula. Your walks are inspiring!

Monday: 10 minutes stretch, 30 minutes full body strength and 20 minutes cardio. My workout partner is in Texas for two weeks so I’m on my own. Love YouTube!
Actually going to a concert with my bestie. We’re joining my aunt and cousin this evening. It was a last minute invitation but sounds like fun.
Going to get “outside” tomorrow for a walk. You ladies are correct. Chris’ walks are so inspiring.Kathy

Kathy what concert are you going to? Have fun and definitely get outside.
I can never get enough outside time. Darn deer have been coming into my yard and munching on things.
Yoga was good today. Went to lunch with a friend. Rocky went to his hand doctor. He has severe arthritis. Plus bone on bone in two finger joints. Going to try surgery soon. If that fails then knuckle replacements are in his future.

Wow, Shelley, I didn't know they did knuckle replacements! I had a knee replaced that was bone-on-bone and now it's my good knee. I hope Rocky has great success too! Arthritis is incredibly painful.
I've never heard of Trizepitide. Hope whatever he chooses will work well for him.

Tuesday: 45 minute walk with bestie at the park. We got outside. 15 minute upper body strength and 10 minutes core.
I corrected the day on the post from yesterday. Can’t seem to keep up either the days of the week.
Shelley we saw Eddie Levert at a small venue called City Winery Atlanta. Eddie was part of the Ojays for over 60+ years. He’s 82 and still has a great voice. We had a great time. We’ve got concert fever now…looking for the next.

I'm with Paula…I didn't know they did knuckle replacement either. huh…
We had Collin this morning and I put the house together for our housekeeper. Pat p/u Ronan from school for an afternoon of homework and video games.
In talking w/my trainer yesterday, I'm supposed to still be doing the exercises in the video my doctor sent a while back. I haven't been doing them. EGADS, man!! I re-started doing them today…I'm in so much trouble!! I have an appt w/him on the 23rd for my yearly check-up. 🤐🤫

Wednesday: 40 minutes recumbent bike, 20 minutes upper body strength and 10 minutes core.
Going to spend the rest of the day with Ron so I did an early workout.Chris get with those exercises.

I've been a very good girl:
- under calories ✔️
- acceptable water ✔️
- good protein & vegetables ✔️
- low carbs ✔️
- daily cardio except Monday ✔️
- not eating too late ✔️
- not weighing too early ✔️
- digestive system fine ✔️
- no junk food (except for a latte yesterday ☕️ 🙄 )
So why did I gain a whole pound Sunday, another pound Monday and a half pound last night?!? Maybe muscle gain? Whatever it is just sucks the fun out of watching the scale. 😭
Grateful it didn't happen during the Hogwarts challenge though, because guess what, I won biggest loser in my House. 😎
But I know my health improvement wouldn't happen without MFP friends and challenges - I'm just the lucky recipient. Thanks.

Good job, Paula!! On all of it.
I will, Kathy. I'm on it!
Saw my trainer today for a 60 min workout. It was good.
We had Collin this morning, went to the park for a little bit then he and Grandpa played in the water table out back. Pat p/u Ronan from school and they played video games all afternoon. No homework for him…end of the school year.
I made soup this afternoon.
That's it!

I emptied a kiddie pool in my studio today. It's been catching water from a roof leak all winter and was quite full.
I sucked what is now swamp water into 25' of aquarium tubing and fed it out the door and off the deck. Gravity did most of the draining. But a few times when algae clogged it, I had to restart it. My teeth needed much brushing.
That was off-and-on tiring today. Shopping was exhausting yesterday. Everything feels difficult nowadays. Used to think it was being overweight; but it must be muscle loss too. So glad to be exercising again.

LadiesI found out today I have Covid. Haven’t felt well the last 2 days and started coughing a lot yesterday. Decided to go to the doctor thinking I had a summer cold but they did a swab and it was positive.
Got a prescription and cough meds and told to rest and isolate for a few days.

I managed 5.46 miles in 117 mins to the post office and back. My feet weren't too happy so I need to switch out the innards in the shoes and make new ones.🤭 It was a good walk. Sunny and breezy. Not my fastest after the morning chasing Collin around!
Than we had both boys 4:15 to 6:15 so Sara could do Open House at her school. Pete went with her…sigh! I am a little tired!

We had Collin this morning then I had my trainer at noon. Pat p/u Ronan from school and they are playing video games. Ronan only has Mon & Tues next week and gets out both days at 11:50 a.m.. Sara works all next week then Let Summer Vacation Begin!!!
We'll have the boys for a few hours tomorrow morning while S&P go to the Eye Doc.

I have no idea how I missed so much!
Kathy so sorry you have Covid. It is nasty for sure.
Chris you have time to get them exercises done. You got this.
Paula your roof must need replaced. Of course you know this. I hate when the scale doesn't budge or even goes up when I am being good. Keep being good. It will pay off.
Upper body at the YMCA on Thursday. Then yoga and zumba yesterday. Heading to the mountain today.
The irises look beautiful this week

We had the boys this morning for a couple of hours. Ronan stayed here when his folks p/u Collin. He's playing w/Grandpa.
I thought about walking but I am glued to my computer chair for now! 😁 Tomorrow is a walking-maybe since we didn't get to sleep in this morning, and Sara is singing with her group at @2:00 p.m. tomorrow and she invited us to the concert. Soooo, if I'm walking, I gotta get out there early. And going to the concert means shower and make-up on a Sunday ! Holy cow! Crimeny!

Beautiful flowers, Shelley!! WOW! I've never seen that color before!

Chris being invited to her concert is fabulous. I don't ever do makeup. But I get it. If you would like some of that iris ever I could send you some. A guy in CO I met years ago gave it to me. He planted some seeds from one of his irises. And that is what he got. A favorite of ours.
We were there for a daylily group. And I mentioned irises. The homeowner loves them. And that was the beginning of my taking several home with me.Today was spent working on the cabin. Sheet rocking mostly. Also rehung the bathroom door since it didn't shut right. What a pain. Rocky had to take out some 2x4's that were not straight. But it works great now.
I helped Rocky with putting insulation bundles into the loft. They are more awkward than heavy. A bundle is to large for me to completely wrap my arms around. And taller than I am. But I managed to girl handle them and push them up the ladder. He would grab them and pull them up into the loft. So over that.

This is one of the irises Shelley sent me years ago and it just bloomed this year. It's such an awesome surprise to see what magnificent blooms appear from bulbs that have been dormant for half a decade.
Shelley, I think this might be what it is. What do you think?

Thank you Shelley and Paula. So pretty.
First, I got up at 7:00 and was out the door by 8:30 to the post office and back. 5.40 miles in 109 mins. It was perfect out there. Used the umbrella a little but the breeze was cool enough that I was happy without it open. Not too many people out.
Then got ready and went to Sara's concert. Six women for the first half and seven for the second half. It was amazing! Hard to tell who was singing what notes when…So Amazing! So glad she invited us. Sara's best friends came with there kids and Pete, Collin and Ronan were there. We didn't stay for the end gathering…too many people, too much noise, too many voices…couldn't hear anything clearly.
Home now with the fans on cuz it's 84 degrees with 16 mph winds! It's warm out there!
Going to finish my coffee and read.

Our community has a free two-day music & art faire every year. Crowds require parking several blocks away so I got a good workout today. Last year I wasn't physically up for it. This year, it was challenging but do-able. Can't wait to be in better shape next year and able to stay longer.
So much fun to see friends; and bea-u-ti-ful gloriously sunny weather. Nowadays a chair with a back on it and a little shade are truly helpful.
