Pat and I took the SantaFe to the car wash. Got the biggest job they offered done. The car looks super shiny!! Then we stopped for gas then went to Target. There had been an accident at the signal right by Target. It took out all the store lights and a bunch of signal lights around the accident. It was crazy that they had the doors to Target propped open with no lights on inside. The phcy was closed so we had to go to Walgreens. I got what I needed but, WOW! man!!!

Pat's b'day today. The kids came over for pizza, Crumble Cookies and Ice cream! It was pretty crazy! It was good to see Sara and chat for a little bit. We'll be doing Costco next week. I'm looking forward to it.

Picked up the house and did dishes and now I'm just sitting here!

    Hey Friends,

I don't know if you'all know this already, but Karen and I met on a different site where we'd bonded over similar weight loss experiences. We moved to MFP together. She's my oldest friend on social media.

As you know, she's been dealing with complications in life right now; but is still active on FB, which is how I've stayed in touch with her. Sharing, FYI...

Paula thank you for the update for Karen. I have kept them in my thoughts.

I read everything you all have posted. And giggled quite a bit. We have been clearing more trees from our property and working on the cabin. I have been exhausted.
Kathy glad you are doing better and working out again. Did your AC get fixed?

Chris I know you told your workout partner you are well again. Right?

Paula the turkey is cute. I wish you had a photo of your swamp water.

    Bye now.

Paula, please let Karen know we are all thinking about her and her husband. I hope his recovery goes well.

Yeah, I told my trainer, Shelley. She's still going to go a bit easy on me for a bit.

I did 5.44 miles in 110 mins to the post office and back today. It was beautiful and windy out there!

I'm hoping that the craniotomy resolves Karen's husband's symptoms (the ones diagnosed as Parkinson's earlier this year). She hasn't said one way or the other, but it seems like a brain tumor could've cause tremors.

So many people have posted about successful operations. And I recently saw a documentary on new advances in brain surgery. It's just amazing what surgeons can do now.

Sunday: 20 minutes full body stretch, 25 minutes full body strength training, 20 minutes cardio, 10 minutes core.

Paula thank you for keeping us updated on Karen. She and her family are in my daily prayers.

Shelley I’m loving having the strength to work out again. Yes I got my air conditioner fixed and it didn’t cost me an arm and a leg. I as very lucky.

Have a great final week of June everyone. Where did the month go?

Paula I agree. And hope that he is progressing rapidly. They deserve some good news.

Kathy I want to know where the month went as well. I have ate poorly way to often. Going to finish the month off well.

Chris so glad you are getting your walks in.

Yoga in the morning. Maybe some weeding after that.

Karen said it will be 4-6 weeks before they know if the Parkinson's is still there, or if getting rid of the tumor resolved the tremors. She 💜 's the thoughts & prayers I shared to her from us. Life is so hard sometimes.

We are going to Costco this morning with the kids!! It's the first time for me since the first covid lock down!!! I used to go all the time. We're going to the new one in Brentwood. It has just been built. Then depending on the time and temp, I might be able to get a walk in. We'll see.

    I'm so excited.

Well, seems Sara did take me to the new Costco a bit ago. I remembered once we walked to the front of the store. Okay, it was Tuesday…that place was soooo crowed! So many people! Crazy! Oh, man!!Anyway, I just looked around. Pat got four things. Everything I looked at was too big or too much. But I did have fun. It's way more fun with just Sara, tho.

We got a Raley's delivery coming this morning and I have my trainer at noon. My phone reports that it will be about 82 degrees when I get home from my trainer, so I'm not sure if I can walk around the school or not. We'll just have to wait and see. Summer is here!!

    So that is my day.

I did 5.80 miles in 120 mins this morning. Man! the last couple miles were hard. I guess that's because I'm not walking enough. It was beautiful out there. A few folks were out walking.

Ronan is coming over later. I'm just chillin' right now, got to make soup this afternoon. My feet are still crying.

    Chris,

I made a yummy stew this week. Needed to do a European dish for Hogwarts and this is Portuguese. It's just chicken thighs, canned tomatoes, canned mild chilis, smoked paprika, cumin and salt. Super easy and great flavor.

Doing a minimum of three 20min walks each week for the Hogwarts challenge and feeling stunned. It's getting easier and - dare I say it ? - feeling really good. 🙀

Friday: 10 minutes stretch, 25 minutes strength training, 10 minutes core and 30 minutes indoor walk.

My bestie and I went to the Farmers market and walked around at least 30 minutes. I love farmers markets. 😊

Then we went to a favorite restaurant and had a 1/2 sandwich and 1/2 salad. Fun day!

Saturday: my bestie and I went to a water aerobics class at our friends pool at her subdivision. 60 minutes and it was fun and a great workout. According to my Apple Watch, I burned 320 calories. I will be incorporating at least 2 classes a week.

Paula, mine is hamburger, diced onions, celery, bells, mild chili, diced tomatoes, black beans, pinto beans, white kidney beans, Arriba chipotle salsa and white sweet potatoes (Jerseys) Everything NO SALT except the salsa. I change it up sometimes…rice instead of the potatoes or pasta instead of the potatoes. Depends on what everyone is in the mood for.

We had the boys in the morning so Sara could take Pete to the dentist to have his wisdom teeth removed. Then Ronan stayed and I had my trainer for a 60 min workout.

Didn't sleep well last night…no walking this morning. it's getting hot…78 now supposed to get to 93…we'll see. I'll walk tomorrow morning. 😁

Hope you all have a good weekend.

I just did 5.50 miles in 110 mins to Laurel Park and back. They are building so much over there!! Sad that the Rocky Road is gone forever. I don't know how folks are going to afford these houses, and they are sooo close together!! They had a sign that Laurel Park was closed due to drainage construction, but there was nothing going on in the park. I was the only one there for two laps then a guy showed up with his pup as I was leaving. It was so strange to see the park empty. No kids on the ball fields no cars..crazy!

I have my trainer in an hour for 60 mins. We are waiting for our grocery delivery. Raley's changed their delivery company and this new one is yuck! Always so late. Egads, man!!! Plus, I haven't been able to get the app that shows they are on their way. Maybe Pat can help me…ugh.

    Okay, that's it for now.

The neighbor is finally tearing down the house next door, the one destroyed in the landslide in 2017. We sold it to him a few years ago. It will feel sad as well as glad.
