HOW IT ALL WORKS: The September challenge runs for four weeks, from August 31st - September 27th.

Everyone weighs in weekly on their chosen day right here in the team chat. At the end of each week, the tallies are done to determine the team and individuals with the most weight lost. The best losers are announced with full fanfare every Sunday. The team competition is all in good spirits - may the most losing win, and may everyone else get to work on next week!

We also celebrate those small, steady losses. If you lose, however small an amount, you are in the green! At the end of the month, we celebrate everyone who lost at least a bit every single week. You are heading steadily towards your goal even if you aren't at the top of the weight loss leader board. In March we are aiming for every team to hit 50% green every week - let's do this!

To make your weigh-in easy to find for your team Captains, please put it right at the top of a message, and use this format:
Weigh In Day:
PW (Previous Weight):
CW (Current Weight):

If you miss two weigh-ins in a row without asking for a break, you will be dropped from the team, so be sure to inform your team captain if you are traveling, sick, or just need some time off. If you want a break, you can be excused for a week or two, or can be moved to the Support Team for as long as you need. You still participate in the discussions, you can weigh in if you want to, but it will not count in the weekly tally. Don't worry! You can always come back even if you get dropped.

Once you reach your goal weight, you join the Goal Zone. You continue to weigh in every week. If you have 2 weeks above your self-defined goal zone, you go back to the regular team to lose that amount before it builds up. You will have a chance to hone those maintenance skills and stick with your team.

In addition to your own team, there are weekly F2F Full Group CHALLENGES. You can do all or none - it's up to you. Participating adds a lot to your success, so we hope to see you there often! These can involve anything fitness, health, or nutrition - and they’ll get you moving, thinking, and learning about this journey. Check the Announcements section for full group challenges.

Let’s show our fellow challengers some F2F love Introduce or re-introduce yourselves right away, and let's get September on the road! 😎

September feels like the start of a new year - probably from all those years of "back to school". For me, September is a great time to review my goals and plan for the months ahead.

    MY INTRODUCTION

Hi all! Austin here. I live in Austin, Texas, with my husband, Eric, plus a small menagerie that includes indoor cats Piku and Habibi and 5 backyard chickens. My hobbies include managing a Scout troop's parent committee, working on a sci-fi/fantasy conference, and working on a science enrichment program for middle schoolers.

I follow University of Texas football, and am excited because my husband and I have tickets for the home football games this fall. We also have season tickets for the women's basketball team, and are looking forward to that! (For anyone who follows college football, yes, I know, Arch didn't get off to the best start yesterday. I love the team, though!)

My main physical activity is walking, but I have the aim of getting in more cycling this month. We will see how that goes! The reason for more cycling is that I tripped and smacked a knee week before last, and something's still not quite right. I also need to work on the landscaping, front and back, for our house, and shoudld be at work on that starting in a few weeks once it cools off a bit.

My weigh-in day is Monday. I was at 201.8 last Monday, down from 206.4 at the start of August. I am looking to (re)lose about 85 pounds.

Thanks for being here! I am looking forward to a great September!

Here is Habibi, king of all he surveys:

    My Introduction

My name is Sandy and I live in Copperas cove, Tx. with my DH John and our 2 fur babies Tigger (cat) and Diesel (dog). We have 2 children who are married with families of their own, giving us 5 grandsons. I am a retired correctional officer of 21 yrs. Life is pretty laid back here, maybe too laid back, OK BORING! I plan my day when I wake up, never know what kind of crazy I will get into. I am so grateful that the hot weather is almost behind us and I will be able to get out and start walking with Diesel again. It has been just to hot for his paws. I am ready to hit the hiking trails. We have one camping trip planned at the end of Sept. which is a bluegrass festival at a campground. Looking forward to that.
Here are a few pics of Tigger and Diesel

I did not realize just how much of a difference 25 lbs made until I found these pics from a while back and then put on the same clothes. I have been on Wegovy for a little over 5 months. I am still on .5mg and will continue until I hit my goal as I am losing about a pound a week. Some weeks I stalled for a minute but all in all the .5mg is working. Yesterday I seen my cardiologist and we decided to stop taking my lisinopril as it was causing my blood pressure to drop to low and causing fatigue. Now my energy is better. I am looking forward to losing the next 20 lbs.

    Hi Everyone!

I'm Valeta. I am 51 years old housewife and live with my husband(Wesley) and dog(Benny) in NW Indiana. Between the two of us we have 3 adult sons and 1 grandson. I get a lot of sun and exercise helping my husband with his tree business. I enjoy spending time in my garden and playing with my 1 year old grandson. I would like to get my weight back down to 120 lbs, but I've been hanging out here in the lower 130's for about a year.

@txcritter69 - Congrats on the 25 lb. loss…You look great!

    Hi 👋

I'm Anna, I am a married housewife to my hubby of 14 yrs, (21 living together yrs) and we have 1 dog and 6 feral cats, atleast I think there is still 6. I don't really know, but I see them all over the place. I have 4 adult kids & 1 bonus adult kids, they have given me 11 grandkids. Their ages range from 20-4. Holidays are loud, crazy and chaotic, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

I have been on Wegovy since November and I have lost about 15 lbs. Im on 1.0, my health coach was going to increase it to 1.7, but I don't feel like I'm ready, so I declined for the time being. I would've lost more, but I'm a very stubborn person and I am not much into veggies.

I need to do some before and current pictures. Here is a picture of my best buddy

    20250801_134352.jpg 20250822_124341.jpg

In the second picture he's worried that I might be leaving without him. 😅😅😅

That's all I have for now.

    Y'all have a great day 😀

@micaroo4 ”September feels like the start of a new year - probably from all those years of "back to school". For me, September is a great time to review my goals and plan for the months ahead”

I’m the same way. Once I get my class assignments submitted for the week I’m sitting down to write my goals out and my September budget. Need to reign in on everything.

Good news have one of the 2 cabinets 90% completed for the pantry. Replacing the old ones and closing a hole where mice had found their way in. House clean out is still a work in progress and has slowed down due to school. Hoping by Christmas that everything will be in its place.

@trooworld — Thank you! 5 weiner dogs? That made me laugh. I got curious and looked up other things that weigh 60 pounds and found "a bear cub" and "a 9 year old child." Phew! Your day sounded so fun and adventurous! You inspire me!

@Cornanda — Aww, thank you for the congratulations! I am so grateful for this group.

@19shmoo69 — Hot filtered water? You had me there for a second. How are you doing, and how's your family? Are you back to running again?

@Veta2018 — Look at you up there on the leaderboard! Congratulations!

@DrewsAnna - Your pictures are great! What a big change! Your puppy's big don't-leave-me eyes are adorable.

@txcritter69 — What a great weigh-in! I love your pictures. Tigger and Diesel are such cuties!

@baodell17724 — Congratulations on reaching Onederland! WooHOOO!

"Today is going to be a great day." That is still the habit I am working on. I remembered this morning. I hope everyone is having a great weekend. I am hard at work on the literary conference. I have a stack of to-do's, and busy starts this morning. Right now, Piku, my older cat, is rubbing at me and reminding me that it is breakfast time for kitties. Off I go!

@AustinRuadhain My wife is still in lots of pain. She did have a wonderful time with the church ladies that came last week. My son’s hip is better.

I joined a running group that runs on Monday evening. I try and run through the week after work. Due to my wife’s surgery I missed all last week and will miss this week.

@19shmoo69 — I am sorry your wife is still in so much pain, and glad that the church ladies visit offered such a bright spot. Great news about your son's hip. I hope both keep improving!

@gemwolf110 your fur babies are adorable. The 2 on the left looked like collies? Maybe? They reminded me of my dad's show dogs. We always had collies growing, lol… they were so cuddly 😅😅

    Hi 👋

I got some stuff done yesterday and my daughter came over and dyed my hair. I'm back to platinum blonde. Lol… it's super bright, it's been quite awhile since I have been THIS blonde. After it settles , I'll post a picture.

I still have this rash/hives… it has been driving me crazy and very uncomfortable, because it's been so itchy. I haven't left the house since I came home from the hospital because of it. I'll be calling the dr office tomorrow.

I have been spending waaay to much time on my phone and im not doing anything, but scrolling through FB. So, it's time to start doing some kind of activity besides being on my phone.

    Y'all have a great day 😀

@trooworld can I join in the step tracker? Are y'all doing a challenge or just for fun?
