Oh no! I hope your uncle is ok @strong_fit_ells and your husband's surgery goes well @Gidgitgoescrzy !

We had a rough beginning to this month, but I know we can turn it around. Congrats to @ashleycarole86 and @Gidgitgoescrzy 🎉

    PW: 254.6 lbs

    CW: 254.8 lbs 🙄😒😤

I'm suuuuuper bloated and holding onto a lot of water due to my totm. I fully expect a whoosh next week because when I weighed myself a couple of days ago I was almost 3lbs lighter!

@strong_fit_ells oh your poor uncle, I hope he recovers well! He reminds me of my great grandpa, he owned a propane company and didn't retire until his 90s! Not that he needed to work, he just wanted to. He's gone to heaven now but left behind quite a legacy.

@mkksemail safe travels! I hope you're having a lot of fun. I filled my Octiber task list but when I check the boxes it's not tallying points or marking them as completed, so I'll patiently wait until you have time to fix it 😊 BTW there were several days where I couldn't access the Community page through the app and had to use a web browser. I'm glad it's fixed now!

@cleaneater80 it's good to hear your foot is improving. Excuse my ignorance, but does Canadian Thanksgiving have any traditional foods that go with celebrating the holiday? In the states it's common to have turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing (aka dressing), pumpkin pie, and other comfort foods for our Thanksgiving meal, though some families change it up and serve ham or shrimp or something completely different.

I have met my step goal the last 2 days thanks to this week's activity challenge 🥳 I've done ok with food, I do great through the day, balancing my macros and making good choices but then late at night the last 2 nights I've become ravenous. Last night I had a mini binge, I guess to others it would be a normal amount of food but it felt like a binge because I knew I was eating just to eat but couldn't stop. I started by having a few bites of leftover porkchop because I figured the protein would help me feel more full, but then I had an oatmeal cookie and a roll with spinach artichoke dip. Totally unnecessary. I'm blaming totm for that too 😆

@strong_fit_ells sorry to hear about your uncle's fall! stressful for sure

Thanks for all the kind comments about my weigh-in. I felt really in control last week but I'm definitely a bit up this week.

Last call for steps as tomorrow is my last night at home before our trip! Can't believe it's almost here.

I’ve missed logging my food and few days and lost my streak. Oh well. Start again.

Have a great trip Ashley. Check back later.

@ashleycarole86 safe travels! Have a lovely time making memories.

@micki48 I'm in the same boat, I'll track for a few days and then I get behind and lose motivation.

@lauren_989 yay for being in the green!

I made a new recipe tonight from the meal kit subscription, it was 4 cheese ravioli with a pesto cream sauce topped with marinated tomatoes and garlic. I added chicken for more protein. I thought it was fabulous, my husband didn't love it but he ate it for my sake, my daughter tried a couple bites and my son didn't touch it 😆 oh well, more leftovers for me I guess.

I completed a strength training workout tonight for the first time in weeks, it feels really good to have followed through with it. Gotta keep the momentum going. I'm getting my annual labs drawn in the morning, I'm curious to see what that will show. Usually my results are all pretty normal, occasionally my fasting glucose is a little higher than average despite my a1c being fine (thanks pcos). Maybe the weight I've lost so far will help my fasting glucose.

So Monday wasn't great, I kinda made some bad decisions with food. Tuesday scale was up a smidge, like less than 1/2 a lb. Yesterday was a perfect day, no snacking, ate only what I had planned, and did my exercise… Scale is up 2lbs this morning… UGH I do feel a little bloated so maybe that is it.

My workout schedule was supposed to be the rower last night, but it hasn't been used since before the kitchen renovation, so it was in the storage position, well I thought I knew how to put it back together, but every time I sat on it, it kept folding up on me, so I must have been putting the do-hicky in the wrong place, but I couldn't figure it out. I did the treadmill instead, and I did 30 secs slow, 30 sec fast and almost killed myself, I wasn't paying attention, so I thought I was lowering the speed, but I was increasing it, haaaa haaa luckily I realized what I was doing before it got out of control. 😆

    @ashleycarole86 Have a great trip !

@jguldi11 mmmhmmm I love ravioli with pesto and that dish sounds really good, for the game last week, I made fried ravioli (air fried) with a pesto parm dip. Good job on completing the workout.

@strong_fit_ells Sorry to hear about your uncle, hope he heals quickly, and your stress eases.

    Have a great day !

@lauren_989 - I need to weigh in a day early because I am about to head out on a work trip.

    PW: 181.2

    CW: 183.0 :(

I had a bowling trip last weekend. I am sure it is travel weight. Either that or it is bloat from my poor dinner decisions last night.

@ashleycarole86 - Monday, October 6 - 7,815 steps, 1 hour of reffing soccer and 3 games of bowling

Tuesday, October 7 - 7,521 steps, 3 games of bowling

I am going to weigh in tomorrow, I could weigh in today, but I am so disappointed in my weigh in, I believe it would leave me to binge today. So, I would like a mental health waiver…

I am sooooo frustrated. I feel like I am doing well, but the scale just isn't moving, I need to go back to the old chats and read what I was doing then.

Do you all use AI ? I love it, absolutely love it, I ask it all kinds of questions, like if I read a new headline I will go to Chatgtp and ask that whats going on, then I can ask it deeper questions, and it will dig deeper. I kinda feel like our mainstream media/ social media don't always share the whole picture, so this makes me feel a little more confidant in the knowing what is really happening. Any who, give it a shot, it's fun… This morning, I found out why they are doing so much roadwork at this one intersection on my way home, it's not just new traffic barriers, it's a whole re-alignment, and it's annoying.

    Have a great day !

@strong_fit_ells Thoughts are with you and your uncle. That's a stressful event. He's so lucky to have you taking such good care of him.

Gidgitgoescrzy Construction is so annoying - I used ChatGPT when I was traveling and it recommended some great things to do when on vacation. No more spending all your time looking for something to do. Love the tips about the news, will try it.

jguldi11 Keep us posted about your lab results. With all the positive changes you've made hope it shows

Gidgitgoescrzy great job getting on the treadmill. I can't only imagine how frustrating it is having the rower fold up on you.

jguldi11 Thanksgiving here is your standard turkey and stuffing meal. We have one dinner this weekend - looking forward to the pumpkin pie. I'll also be planting my garlic (we plant about 500 garlic cloves and sell over the summer/fall) hoping the exercise helps off set the pie.

It's been what feels like a long week because my daughter has been home as school is not in session. Our teachers are on strike and there doesn't seem to be a end in the foreseeable future. I'm keeping her busy with math and reading and I'm lucky to be able to work from home but it's not the ideal situation. She's loving it tough and old enough to keep herself busy.

@cleaneater80 wow! That's crazy the teachers went on strike. I hope you or others aren't having too much trouble with childcare.

@Gidgitgoescrzy I have used chatgpt to come up with a full body strength training plan, 5k training plan, and some recipe ideas. I also use it at work!
