@minstrelofsarcasm I'm not sure what had happened, it was pretty bad though. It happens from time to time, and then I can barely do anything. But that got better and I worked outside on my new chicken coop for a couple of hours and when I came in, I felt fine. Some time had passed and all of the sudden, I had very bad cold chills and I started to feel nauseated and out of it. I went to sleep that night with cold chills and feeling bad. Woke up and I felt a little better, but my eyes hurt a lot and then I had horrible diarrhea for 2 and a 1/2 days whike not having a great appetite because everything I ate, made my tummy hurt. Not exactly sure what that was all about! But it made me have a pretty good Weight loss, so I am just hoping that I do good this week so next weigh in is good and this weeks Weight loss is locked in!

Weigh in day - Monday (actually weighed in Wednesday)
CW: 271.6 lbs
PW: 271.8 lbsI maintained. I'll admit, I've been lacking in the motivation department lately and I haven't been following through on my goals or tracking my calories, so it's good to know I maintained but I'd like to lose. So today I'm recommitting to just tracking daily (food and weight) and actually checking in here on my scheduled day. I'll try to participate in weekly challenges more too for a little more motivation. Can't let the seasonal depression monster get me!

@minstrelofsarcasm Can I actually change my check-in day to Sunday? Maybe that will help!

@jennyell85 - Absolutely, I can take care of that in just a moment! Might as well give it a try. Seasonal depression is a killer, it's my least favorite thing about feeling that first chill in the air. What kinds of strategies do you use to keep pushing forward?

@minstrelofsarcasm Mainly staying active, getting sleep, eating nutritious foods. You know, the boring stuff. But I also add in light therapy in the fall/winter months, I have one of those SAD lights and I use it for 5-15 minutes in the mornings. I try to go outside and get fresh air and sunshine during the day when I can.
The worst part is I love fall and cooler weather but that does not seem to matter to my body. But I manage.

Was not expecting any loss at all, even a little one. I've been eating a bit all-over-the-place the past week, and while I HAVE been exercising frequently (kinda easy to hit my movement goals when I coach 8 fitness classes a week), I don't think it would be nearly enough to counteract my popcorn addiction.

I have a comp in Nov. I have to be under 165 fully clothed and my uniform weighs about 5lbs. Which really means that I have to be under 160. Its not until late Nov but I really need to get my butt in gear 😫

Hi folks, I am still waiting on weigh-ins from:
Be sure to get these in before tomorrow morning for your updates to count towards our team totals! Remember that neglecting to weigh-in two weeks in a row, without requesting to be excused, results in being dropped from the team.

Also! I recognize that we have not had any posts regarding the steps challenge in quite some time - Melanie has been unable to break free from her other responsibilities long enough to throw anything together, so I will be getting around to a results post in the next few days. Thank you for your patience with this, I appreciate those of you who have been sharing your step counts without fail 💜

my new job is a home health care worker. The woman I am with loves to walk. We usually walk 60-70 minutes in the morning and then 30 minutes in the afternoon. She would just walk all day, glad I had back surgery because I would not have been able to walk for 5 minutes with her. With all the walking though I can’t figure out why my weight keeps going up. I have been eating less and drinking more water.

@ljdanny Is it possible you are gaining strength and muscle? Sometimes the scale doesn’t show the full picture.
Either way walking is great for you.0 -

@ljdanny - if your body isn't quite used to walking this much, you're definitely holding onto some extra water while your muscles adjust; it's a bittersweet side effect of increasing your movement, and one of the reasons people tend to get discouraged when they start to exercise more often.

While I was hoping for a loss, I'll accept this small gain. I didn't eat terribly this week, but I know my sweet tooth was more activated than last week so maybe that held me back. Hoping for a loss next weigh in!
