~ STEP CHALLENGE - SEPTEMBER ~
As a team, we walked over HALF A MILLION steps in September. I bet we can beat that for October (we're already to 340k by week two)!
Thanks for participating in the steps challenge last month @marlalynns6304, @Emilienewme, @jennyell85, @ljdanny, and @BodyTalking !!!! I am sorry it took so long for the results to be posted - things have fallen through the cracks lately, and I appreciate how all of you posted your steps anyway!
Bolded averages indicate meeting your step goal for the week!
Huge shoutouts to the following for being…
Most Consistent - @jennyell85 !!!
Most Steps in One Day - @Emilienewme !!!
If you want to participate in the October Step Challenge (I'm participating this month too!), be sure to post your steps for the first two weeks of October ASAP - Week One is 9/28-10/4, Week Two is 10/5-10/11. I will post the results for both weeks sometime later this week. So far, it's a close contest!
- Step counts can either be provided as daily totals (Sunday through Saturday) or as a weekly total (but if you post a weekly total, you are ineligible for the Most Consistent and Most Steps in One Day awards)
- If you have a step goal (e.g. 5,000/day, 8,000/day, 100,000/week, etc.), be sure to share it so we can congratulate you on hitting your goals!
- Results will likely come out on Wednesdays, posting your counts by Wednesday morning (EST) guarantees your numbers will count

I won’t have access to a scale next Friday, would it be okay if I skipped the weigh in next week.

Hi Everyone, has anyone been to Cheddar gorge in Dorset. Wow it's so worth the walk, we walked up Jacob's ladder, walked through one of the caves. Next time we are going to get there for 9am so we have more time to do more.
It's been a great day with my children, yes we came home with Cheddar's Cheddar cheese & cider (for hubby). We love cheese in this house.
Hope your all having a good day

Not a problem, I'll make sure you're excused for next week!!
@28Haveitall2020 - Glad to have you, Nina!
I'll add your weight to our results, but your weigh-in won't count for this week since it was submitted AFTER the results were tabulated (by my calculations, you missed it by only 10 minutes!). It's a shame, your loss would have put you on top of the leaderboard! 1.8% is an impressive loss for your first week!

~ CALL TO ACTION ~
While I am here, would anyone be interested in taking on a bit more responsibility with the group? We could always use a new Co-Captain to help with tracking weights and steps, or a new Motivator to share resources and keep the conversation going in here! Obviously, I am not the best at maintaining activity for the team, and I would love for someone else to show me how it's done.
No pressure, of course. I recognize that just being here is effort in itself, and that counts for something. Doing anythinge extra is, and always will be, a choice.

@minstrelofsarcasm FWIW, I think you do a great job! I don't know too much about it, but I'd be willing to help out as a co-captain or motivator, if you would have me. Lately I am finding that posting here is very motivating and I'd like to help give that back to others if I can.

@jennyell85 - Love to hear it! You've been a fabulous member of our team - it's been good to have you here!
The main difference between Co-Captain and Motivator is that Co-Captains would help me with logging weights and steps on the F2F spreadsheet, often posting reminders to post weigh-in updates; Motivators do not have any spreadsheet responsibilities but are expected to be more active in the group (e.g., posting questions of the week, motivational images, creating group challenges, etc.)
Which role sounds more fitting to you?

@minstrelofsarcasm I can do spreadsheets and stuff! I'd still try to motivate but I think mainly helping out with data is my jam! I work in insurance and I'm a big nerd. 🤓

@jennyell85 - Excellent, welcome aboard, new Co-Captain! All we need to give you permissions to edit the spreadsheet and you will be all set to go - this requires your email address (whichever email address you feel is most suitable for Google Sheets). You can send me an email at graybillan@gmail.com if you'd rather not share your email on the forum, and I'll get it to Lauren so she can take care of making the update.
