Team Twilight: December Challenge

if you are not already signed on, enter your name, current weight and and goal weight for the month of decmber on the google chart we are using. the link to the chart is:

the december challenge is pretty simple - log your food. everyday. no exceptions. even if you go over by 2000 calories. with the holidays approaching, there is probably going to be a lot more food out there than usual. your job is not to avoid this food, or to not enjoy it, but to hold yourself *accountable* for every delicious morsel you eat, and to keep it balanced with a good dose of exercise and water.
for challenge reports, post here every monday, starting on 12/5. you can include any activity from this week for that post to give us a full week.
as for weigh ins, i think you can keep your usual day, so long as you are updating the chart once per week - even if you maintain or have a gain. you are in charge of posting your own progress. anyone who misses 2 solid weeks will be removed from the chart. you can always put yourself back on later, though.
i think the best way to check in on the challenge thread will look like this:
logging - 7/7 days
water - 5/7 days
workout - 5/7 days
sound good?
and then you can provide all the grueling details to your heart's content beneath, but give us that little blurb first because it's short and sweet.
so, december in a nutshell:
logging - 7/7 days, non-negotiable (yes, even whatever holiday feasts you have planned)
water - at least 8 glasses per day
workout - at least 3 days per week
i'm also thinking we can add in a specified activity challenge every one or two weeks. maybe we can rotate ideas on that somehow.

i haven't added anyone's name to the chart - you can go in and add your own stuff! i've only been to see it once, but i think i'll be remedying that tomorrow...0 -

I'm in! The hardest thing for me will be the water. Now that the weather is cooler, I have a real hard time drinking 8 glasses of water. I'd rather coffee or tea. :drinker:, so I really need to work of that. I'm excited to hit my goal in December.0

I know we start checking in next week so this is not so much challenge related, but is anyone totally ticked that we have to wait another year to see the last part of this movie?!? Grrr it annoys me severely. Rant over!0

i'm partially annoyed, but partially grateful. i have another year to re-vamp my victoria style (aka lose another 30 pounds or so), and i'm going to be soooo sad when it's all over!
so, here's my report for day one of our challenge. it sucked. i ate junk food all day long, and didn't go to the gym, although i did go to my tap dance class. i am also *just* drinking my first water of the day, so i'll be lucky to get in this 32 ounces! but, i'm still counting it as a victory because i logged everything and was honest with myself. i completely denied my desire to brush today under the carpet and 'start over' tomorrow, because even if my brain can forget it, it's still going to be sitting on my belly! so i'm proud all the same. yay!0 -

Yes, I'm in! I need to be accountable, cuz I felt so tired and lazy and with a bad case of munchies today. The water will be tough, as I've only had four cups today, and don't like to drink too much late in the day. Ugh! At least I did walk my dogs and do my Curves workout.0

I now have no excuses for not working out. I went today & paid the first month of an annual pass at the Natatorium, and did my hydro-pilates class. Tomorrow hopefully I'll make it through both water walking and water aerobics0

Thanks for keeping another challenge going. I know the biggest challenge for me will be to drink all that water! Have slacked off lately but will have to get back to it. I actually enjoy working out now and as far as logging it definitely keep me from that extra cookie!0 -

UGH I am so exhausted from working late every day, that by the time I get dinner done and kids bathed etc, I just want to fall into bed. I don't know when I'm going to fit in exercise 3 times per week. I MUST, but I don't know HOW.
I'm doing okay with food choices, water, and logging. Gotta look on the "sparkly"side!0 -

exercise doesn't have to be a 2 hour ordeal - a 15 minute walk counts, or a few runs up and down a stairwell - you've got this! and props for taking so much success with so much going on in your life. i have no kids, no job. no money, either (we pretty much live off of one teacher salary and a *very* part time nanny gig) and i still can't get the scale going in the right direction, so kudos to you!0 -

You can do this! Make it simple and fun. Put on some good music and go all Mike Newton on it! Hop on that elliptical for a few. Play tag with the little one. Jump rope, do yoga, whatever!! You know I am one of your biggest fans and am rooting for you as much as for myself, if not even more!

well 2 days until weigh day and so far so good...... Have been off the wagon for around 4weeks so am expecting good results on saturday....
I do like to have a challenge as it makes it so much easier when you break your weight loss down into smaller goals..
