It's on like donkey kong! (Oh... am I mixing references here lol)

I'm starting Rushfit again on Saturday (P90X - like but with a mixed martial arts perspective) and my bodymedia fit will arrive today so I'm starting to use that tomorrow. Hopefully a combo of those two things will have the pounds melting off like butter!
  • Woot woot! I had Chipotle for lunch but a small breakfast. I'm ready for this! I'm also starting the 30DS (yet again) today so if anyone wants to start a new month with that, lemme know! Yay!

Yay, for a new month's challenge! Now, I'd better go drink some water. :drinker:
  • I was under calories and over on water but I am way too tired to work out. If I don't end up doing at least some Wii Fit stepping, I'll hit the gym tomorrow for sure.

Lord how I hate the end of the month and this time of the year at work! UGH I am so exhausted from working late every day, that by the time I get dinner done and kids bathed etc, I just want to fall into bed. I don't know when I'm going to fit in exercise 3 times per week. I MUST, but I don't know HOW.

I'm doing okay with food choices, water, and logging. Gotta look on the "sparkly"side!

I know how you feel! By the time my evenings with my kids are done, I'm too tired to exercise! I was doing really well with setting my alarm half an hour earlier and getting it in before my day really got started, but since the time change I have been having trouble with that! Love your "look on the sparkly side" comment!

day 1 - tracked everything, stayed under on calories, had 7/8 glasses of water, didn't make it to the gym though, but did get some house cleaning done that sent me up & down stairs several times

Day 1- Tracked everything and was under, was WAY under on water (and over on sodium) which means I am all full up on water retention this morning... I would could first day as a fail. I'd like to blame the migraine that I have/ had.

Day 2 down, finished under calories, 8 glasses of water in, and worked out playing wii sports with my hrm on, so i could get an accurate count of the calories burned.

And a question. I was in a previous challenge for thanksgiving that the fitness couldn't include cooking/cleaning because that was things that you normally did in your daily life. How does everyone feel about what can/can't be counted as cardio
  • DAMN YOU TO HELL T.O.M....... I have been good all week and have only gone and put on 2lbs...... I actually cried this morning........ I was stood in kitchen on scales alone and crying..... How sad am I????

After having bad few weeks I was really hoping for good results. Am sooo dissapointed.......

I don't usually include things like cooking dinner but if I am cooking a LOT or baking a lot, then I count it because I am on my feet for hours. Same with cleaning! I have myself set as sedentary so I figure the 1-2 week I clean should count! :)

I figure it the same way. What is done normally in a days work, I don't count. I have myself set as moderate, or whatever, don't remember the right word. If I go above and beyond, such as when my basement flooded and I had to lug a 5 gallon shop vac full of water up and downstairs, I counted that. Or sawing down weed trees, or moving air conditioners. I don't count dishes and vacuuming, mopping or laundry. My son usually mows so if I did it I would probably count that.
I guess it is up to you, do you feel you exerted yourself above and beyond? Ultimately it's you who needs to challenge. I don't think Stacy has ever laid too many hard fast rules that way.

Thanks for the answers. In the past I've only counted cleaning if its above/beyond normal daily activities, or laundry, since my laundry room is in the basement, and living alone that is not a daily activity. I do have my lifestyle set to sedentary because when I'm at work, I spend 8 hours at a desk

((((Hugs)))) I think we have all been there. At least you only cried. I have been known to break scales (yes, more than once) when I was so mad I stomped on it really hard. Hang in there, TOM will leave and you will see the fruits of your hard work. Don't let this derail you, don't let that mofo, TOM, win!!

Day 3: was under in calories, didn't get much exercise in, and was 6/8 for water. Today will be the real test though. I have a potluck dinner to go to at my mom's church after work

I'm VERY glad that you suggested this challenge Stacy. I find that I'm kind of lost out there without that accountability factor!
So far so good. This will be a great month!

Good luck everyone!! Lets stay fired up!!

hello! been off the wagon yesterday and today - out of town getting our christmas tree yesterday and getting everything set up today. hopefully tomorrow will be game on, but no guarantees with an interview happening - sometimes they send me for a loop. i haven't been going nuts with food, but i haven't gotten my water in either. and i didn't workout yesterday or today, but i wouldn't have anyways, so all in all, i guess i'm not totally off the wagon - i'll say i'm just dragging my feet a little bit! anyhoo, it sounds like ya'll are doing great - keep it up and don't forget to update the chart!

Day 4 went better than planned, got a little exercise in, and survived a church potluck dinner. Back at work today, and forcing myself to avoid the vending machine, because my mood is matching the grey, gloomy weather today

    Checking in ....
    logging - 7/7 days
    water - 6/7 days
    workout - 3/7 days

I would have worked out more, but I had a trip to New York last week. Still waiting to see if I got that job ,,, They are supposed to contact me at some point today. The one day I slacked on water was also in NY. I had a ton of soda. 0 calorie soda, but still soda.

    Check-in:

    logging 7/7
    water 5/7
    workout 5/7

It is helping me to have this challenge, especially about the water. Staying under cals was good too, only one day over.
I did count raking leaves one day for a workout, and boy, was it! But that was the day I went over. Cuz I went inside and scarfed down everything in sight, lol!
