    Well, my kids and hubby are avid deer hunters. We already have 5 deer in the freezer.

    We make chili, and tacos out of the deer hamburger. The loin steaks, I soak them in luke warm water for a bit. It takes the "wild" flavor out of the meat. Then we marinate them for a hour it teryachi sauce with garlic powder. I can never spell it right. Then we put it in a covered pan and cook on super low till done.
    My only problem with deer meat is I never know the calorie count.
  • Deer chili
    1 large can kidney beans
    6 tomatoes diced
    1 green pepper diced
    1 onion
    1 can tomato paste
    1 garlic clove
    2lbs deer burger
    chili powder to tasted
    cayenne pepper to taste

    tasted great after cooking for an hour...even better if longer but not nessasary.

    pulled bbq goose:

    1 gallon apple juice
    6 goose breasts
    2 bottles of bbq sauce ( my favorite is kraft honey bbq)

    cook apple juice and breasts in a crockpot on low for 6 hours. Drain apple juice, shred the meat very finely. Add bbq sauce of choice. cook for another hour.
