Anyone up for a burpee challenge?

I have no benchmark as to whether I am doing more than the average fit person, about the same or whether I 'must try harder'.

I did a session last night that amongst other things involved burpees to fatigue and I was the last man standing so to speak but I am aware (with no disrespect to some of the others in my group) that my fitness level is a lot greater than theirs so not much of a guide.

Just wondered if anybody wanted a pre-Christmas challenge to see how many you could do to fatigue (as opposed to minutes on the clock) as all the men and women in this group appear to be way beyond my own fitness level but I think that burpees are a good equaliser - whether you do predominently strength or cardio.

If I don't grab anybodies interest, i will do it alone and report back anyway. Maybe some of you seeing a 47 year old woman throwing down a challenge will look at it and think Meh! until you see how many I can do......

    I love a good challenge :)

I'm still unsure if I can do burpees right now because of injured shoulder though. I've never tried to go for a max attempt though. Done 100 for time before & that nearly killed me!

I did 100 once (4 sets of 25). I'm pretty sure I wouldn't place too high competing against the maniacs in this group :)

I'll try them out in class tonight. I aim for 1 minute burpees - not modified 6 counts with a push up.

I did it, but modified burpees - reverse ones with hop into a squat and then a jumping jack. We did 1 minute. I have no idea how many...

I probably will score near or at the bottom but always up for a workout!! I have a general idea of how to do them but can anyone put a link to the classic burpees this involves? Thanks!

Not 1,000 in a row, but throughout the entire day, his cIick was mandated to do 1,000 a day

I did them last night - but it was so cold and windy and I was more concerned with the fact that my thermals appeared to be falling down and completely forgot to count! I did about 3 1/12 minutes though.

I will do the challenge again tomorrow and WILL remember to count.

Addendum: my forgetfullness is not age related btw!
