Should I repeat first week?

Hi, I have just completed the first week of C25K. I did find it hard but not really had any adverse after effects. No stiffness but I have felt very tired by the afternoon (I have been jogging about 10am) and very tired next morning. I can't decide whether to repeat the first week or even do one more stint of the first week after a rest day (so 4 sessions of the week 1 programme) and then start week 2 after another rest day? I just feel like I could do with one more session at that level, but another whole week might be too much.

I just finished week 1 yesterday. My suggestions would be to make sure you are eating enough( especially protein), drink lots of water, and SLOW DOWN. I've not had a problem with the first week, but I took everyones suggestions and made myself run very slow to build endurance. If those don't help, just redo the week! Some of the other runners may be able to help more.
  • I was wondering the same thing this morning before I left. I went slow last week and felt tight during most of my walks/runs. I made sure I stretched today and decided to try Week 2. It felt great!!! I did give my self two days between times, but I really enjoyed today!!

I think, when in doubt, repeat.

Now, tiredness is different from being sore, but if you think you should repeat, by all means, do so. Even if you only tack on another day of the W1 workouts, it may be enough to give you the confidence to move on.

^^This is probably a good option for you. You can repeat week 1 for a day at a time to see how you feel. Go onto week 2 when you feel you are ready. It is better to go at your own pace than to rush yourself and risk injury or end up hating running.
