Hi I'm on week One. Going for my first run tonight after my husband gets home from work. I'm actually excited about it.

Hi there! I'm also on week 1. Got my first one in earlier today at the gym. I could tell it's been awhile, but I have done it before, so it didn't seem TOO bad. Looking to run a 5K on April 1st and another in May, so I figure I better get to it!

Good luck to those of you that are also just starting. :)
  • I just started today! D1W1 done and I don't feel too bad, I actually enjoyed the running! I'm using a Podcast to help with timing etc.

I'm back to Week 1 as well. Re-starting the program after getting injured in November on Week 3...

So, today: W1D1! And from experience I can say that it was surprisingly easy to follow the program & it felt great being able to run.

BTW, I'm using the NHS podcast. Tried various apps as well, but just found them annoying & distracting to handle.

So day 1 wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I was exhausted afterward and had to sit for 5 minutes but I was exhilarated at completing it. I can't wait until Wednesday now to do it again. I have an app on my IPhone that tells me when to walk/run and loved it

Today was my first day as well! I made it to week 3 back in November before I got really sick. Now I'm back at it -- it was a little tougher than the last time I started ... must be those few extra holiday lbs that snuck on :(

    Good luck to everyone!

Hopefully I will be doing w1d3 tonight. I did days 1 and 2 last week (Wednesay and Friday - trying to get on a MWF schedule). Unfortunately, we had huge storms this morning and I couldn't get out (doing this on the road, not in the gym). I'll try to do it after work.

I am going for my first run/walk today. Bit nervous because I haven't run for a long time. The last time was for a charity 5k back in 2010.

Hi all, I did W1D2 this morning and am loving it. The first time I have ever enjoyed exercise :) feel free to add me!
  • I am about to start in a few minutes for the first time, kind of nervous. Feel free to add me.
  • W1D2 today...was a little hard going during the running as it is windy today and I was running into it! Body feels a little stiff in places but no sore muscles :)

Just did W1D1 - so proud of myself! I had to skip one of the jogging sets in the middle as it was up a hill and my right shin was in agony for some reason. I can still feel it an hour later - I know I'm going to be hurting there tomorrow. I think I'm going to continue W1 for the next week and a half and only move on to W2 when I'm fully comfortable and my body can get through the workout without any pain.
  • I started on Sunday and have done W1 twice so wil do my last one tomorrow, and it'll be my first outdoor run.

I started C25K last summer and got to Week 4 but due to work and some other stuff I gave up, so annoyed with myself.

I'm determined to get through the 9 weeks and have signed up for two 5K events and one 10K before my 35th birthday at the end of June.

W1D2 wasn't as bad as day 1. I felt achy all over but some stretches, warm shower and a good night sleep and I feel great today. Bring on Day 3

Hi there! I just ran W1D1 for the second time yesterday, doing it again tomorrow probably...I'm definitely taking it slow, and doing each day 2 or 3 times before I move on. I'm just now getting into shape after having let myself go for about the lat 6-7 years. Even when I was in shape, I never ran. If I had known how much I would love it then I would have started years ago! My dear friend Lindsay (who is also out of shape, but her version of out of shape is much more in shape than my own, lol!) is doing the program with me, and she had to really push and motivate me yesterday to make it through. (We're street running. Rain or shine.) But by the time we finished I felt amazing! Glad to see so many other people interested in being runners! I only allow healthy eating (no crazy fad diets, etc.), positive and encouraging people on my friend list, so if you're interested in motivating and being motivated then add me. :D

I just started yesterday, Thursday. Nervous and kinda scared but encouraged by all of you who have also just started. I don't like to run at all so I hope to be able to learn how to do it properly and also to stick with it until the end and beyond. I'll friend all of you week-oners so we can support each other real time. Thanks!
  • Should be day 3 wk 1 today, but I seem to be coming down with something!! Or I've eaten something that doesn't agree with me....either way I have strange stomach pains and associated issues! But the weather is also really foul today (gale force winds!! So much for summer) so at least I don't feel bad about missing today.....might have been blown away if I had gone out!!
Hoping to do D3 tomorrow :) No soreness or stiffness today either. :)

W1D3 and I feel amazing. Well my body doesn't its hurting in places I never even considered it would hurt but it's a good hurt not a bad hurt but my mind is in awe of how my body actually managed more then I thought it would.
On Sunday I'll start W2 and I'll give it my all and see how I go.

Did W1D2 today and I feel great! Managed to get through the whole thing comfortably - no unusual pains - and I could have done another jogging set but I'm following the programme. My legs are nicely sore - the good sore of having done hard work - not the bad injury sore. I'm really nervous about getting injured, so I'm trying to take it gentle at first. I'm alternating this with the 30 Day Shred - which I just started yesterday. So far so good - they seems to affect different muscles - so it's not a problem so far.

    Let's keep going everyone!
