I bought a new scale today. It's one of those that calculates body fat%, muscle%, water%, BMI, and BMR. Of course it also tells you what you weigh, lol. It told me I am 21.5% body fat. Ideally I'd like to get below 20.5 but I don't think that will ever happen since I don't know if I have that kind of dedication to exercise. But I like knowing the whole picture, not just my body weight. If you're obsessed about numbers like I am I highly recommend getting one of these scales.

  • Was it expensive? also what brand is it? I just read your other thread about what to do after this program and feel this might not be for me. I pretty much just want to look good in a bikin and love how the main ladies on Zumba look.

It cost $39 at Kohls. It is made by Taylor. You can look good in a bikini by doing a lot of things. You have to find what you like and what works for you,

Faith, it's important to remember that what works for one girl might not work for another. Some girls look great just taking a couple Zumba classes a week, and some girls lift weights. Most of us do some combination of cardio (like Zumba, les mills, running, HIIT, etc.) plus the NRoL4W workouts.

Also, the girls on the zumba website probably don't really even do that much Zumba. They're just fitness models. Most fitness models rarely use the program they are photographed to represent.

I've never seen a Zumba instructor who looked like the women in the ads.

Oh I know. What I meant is the girl there is what I want to look like. I dont care if I look ripped or not. That girl was lean but couldnt see her abs and i thought she lookd awesome. Not meaning I want to look like her as she does Zumba. i was just picking a girl out that I want to grow up like...lol.

Thanks for the clarification Faith, glad to see you have your head on straight :)

I just hate it when I see women chasing body types that genetically aren't possible for them. My personal fitness inspiration is Ciara (the hip-hop singer). I like her because she has a long, lean body, but she's not "skinny." Just looking at her you can tell she's strong, but she looks damn good in a short dress or a pair of jeans. To me, that's a real woman! Strong & sexy :)
