Chalean Extreme / Insanity Hybrid

Hey guys, I know I'm probably getting a little ahead of myself since I just started Chalean Extreme this week but I am already thinking about what to do after I'm finished. I've completed one round of Insanity and want to do it again but I'm thinking that combining it with CLX would be......EXTREME! :happy:
I found a hyrbid schedule online already. Has anyone done this hybrid or thinking about it?

HI I just recently joined this group. I do what I call a tribrid. I have combined CLX, Insanity, and Turbo Fire. I like to call it Fire and Ice. Would love to be in this group. Is it okay if I hang around here??
And in response, I LOVE, LOVE pairing Insanity with CLX, with a few HIITs also from Turbo Fire. I am actually on round 3. I have done two other versions, I have tweaked the class makeup each time!0 -
I am finishing CLX in a week. I just received Insanity and was planning to do it next. The only problem is that I'm not sure I want to go 2 months without weight lifting. I have been considering a hybrid of CLX & Insanity but haven't really looked into it yet. Where did you find your schedule?0

I found 2 schedules on the beachbody forums:
1. Turbo Fire / CLX (and a schedule also comes with TF)
2. Insanity / CLX
So, I took and made a similar combination. I do the TF HIITs after CLX o the days I lift. I do Insanity on the alternate days. The plan I do has 1 day of rest. I really feel amazing with this mix. So you could easily do the same schedule and just take out the TF HIITs if you just wanted CLX and Insanity.0 -

Oooh I like that "Fire and Ice". I heard Turbo Fire is pretty good too but I'm on workout DVD probation lol. Yes you can hang around, I believe it's an open group.0 -

From what I have read people always recommend doing a whole program first before doing a hybrid so I would recommend completing the Insanity program as it is laid out. However, since you will have completed CLX already then throwing in a few days of lifting would be a great training schedule. I wouldn't want to go two months without weight training either. I started adding in weight training in my second month of Insanity about twice a week.0 -
Thank you! I may try Insanity by itself first, but I'll definitely do this program at some point. I think I have just planned out my exercise schedule for the next 6 months!0

It woud be an awsome combination since I love both of them. I'm doing Insanity right now.
After I'm done I may do this Hydrid also.
I think I have enough upper body training from insanity. I did not feel that I lose any musle mass from upper body
but I do feel I need to do extra weight lifting for the lower body.0
