(A bit of urban folklore that may be true, says that Ralph Fiennes is so well-endowed that his penis had to be digitally shortened post-production for "the English Patient" because in early test screenings the audiences were kind of shocked).

LOL I'll never think of Lord Voldemort the same ever again.

Wow, that's SOME Elder Wand you've got there, buddy!

And every woman hopes that her first time, which is usually in their teen years with a teen boy is going to be special. But if the guy has never seen a pair of boobies before, that party is over before it started. And what is hilarious is who are the most protective of their sons sexuality? MOMS! You all are sabotauging yourselves! Lol.

I wonder if most parents of older kids really care when they have the choice, like if they are watching a DVD. When we watch a movie and it shows breasts or any other kind of nudity, we don't make a big deal of it. I know that my two oldest have their own collection of magazines from their biological dad. Which the nudity part is the least of my worries when it comes to that. My worry is that they get the wrong idea about women in general, not about seeing nudity.

On a side note, my BIL completely changed as a person after he had little girls. He went from basically a Jewish atheist family to sending his girls to Catholic school and taking them to Baptist church. So I think men do the over reacting thing too when it comes to over protecting their girls. lol

It's because, as Azdak pointed out, competely neurotic and repressed when it comes to sexuality. It's funny the change that happens to women when they have a son. Generally speaking, every woman would like a man who is capable in the bedroom. I realize women prioritze this in varying degrees, but even those who don't have high sex drives wouldn't mind if her partner was good in bed. And every woman hopes that her first time, which is usually in their teen years with a teen boy is going to be special. Well, I don't have kids...I'm sabotaging no one. But yes, good point. It kinda makes me laugh when some of my friends won't take their kids to the beach, because they're paranoid their little boys will see a girl in a bikini. HAH! I was at JCPenney (yep, there's that store again, lol), and was trying clothes on, and then all of a sudden, I look down and there's this little boy, probably about 5 or 6 years old, literally laying on the floor, his head popped under the door staring at me, not even trying to hide it. I started laughing and then loudly said "someone missing a little boy in a red shirt?" I heard a lady start freaking out and yelling at him, saw her hands pick him up off the floor, then she knocked on my door really loudly and asked if he "saw anything." I said no, I still had underwear on, and she got all huffy and said "Good, because if he DID see anything, you and I would have words!" I seriously couldn't stop laughing. I took that as...she was going to yell at me, because her son decided to sneak a peek at me in a dressing room, without my knowledge? I think I'd be a bit more concerned that he was invading someone's privacy, and seen it as a good opportunity to teach him that when a door is closed, you don't go in, even if there's a space between the floor and the door, rather than "boobs are evil!"

    Neurotic indeed.

I feel bad for kids, to be honest. "Sex sells" and it's no secret. Yet schools still preach abstinence only programs. Teens are made to feel like sex is shameful, dirty, and wrong, yet it's everywhere, and it's marketed to them. Teen boys who have sex are "cool" and teen girls who have sex are "sluts." And that doesn't stop after high school, unfortunately.

Its really sad isn't it. We have so many bad messages sent to kids all over America, no wonder we're so messed up.

As far as the lady at JC penney, I would be more worried that he was laying on the ground on some nasty carpet lol

I actually found an interesting quote from a professor of philosophy at the Univ of Toronto:
Kingwell thinks movie audiences don’t necessarily want to see penises on the big screen.

“Guys don't like to see penises in film, because they are either too small (in travel mode) and therefore not worth all the fuss, or too big (in action mode) and so threatening to self-esteem,” he explains. “Girls don't like to see penises either, on the whole, because they're not as romantic as muscles and other secondary sexual characteristics. I would hazard the totally non-scientific guess that there exists a similar breast-vagina relation for male viewers.

“As Freud said, the sight of the genitals is rarely beautiful even if it is often exciting. In the movies, porn aside, we crave erotic beauty rather than erotic excitement. Partial nudity is almost always more erotic than complete nudity, because it is suggestive rather than revealing.”

So it’s little surprise that actors are more likely to show their bums than what’s up front.

“Most male stars have no interest in exposing themselves to that extent,” says Kingwell. “When Richard Gere did it in the 1980s (American Gigolo, Breathless), he was subject to a lot of ridicule and innuendo.

“Since then, it's been rare for a male star to go full-frontal, though most will risk a brief rear shot once in awhile.”

As for Freud's quote: I guess he never knew Georgia O'Keefe.

I think this is pretty smart. Sick perv that I am I've never been a big fan of complete nudity. Maybe it's the Catholic upbringing. Any time I was with a girl who felt comfortable strolling around my apartment naked I'd get kind of creeped out. For all my talk I have plenty of my own hang-ups. I'll always prefer suggestive to completely nude.

Anyone see Watchmen? Billy Crudup plays Dr. Manhattan and as the character is written it's very important that he spend a good portion of the film completely nude, full frontal and all. It was an issue when the comics were written and somewhat of an issue in the movie.

Difference being that in the books Dr. Manhattan had an average, flaccid penis that was just kind of there and Billy Crudup (or CGI) was hung like a donkey. You can't help but throw out a "whoa" when you see it.

My thoughts exactly. It's even more disturbing seeing kids roll around and lay on public bathroom floors.

I saw that when I googled for "Ralph Fiennes Penis." Which I still am waiting to see! Out of sheer curiosity, of course.

I saw that movie the day it came out in theaters. That was actually my boyfriend and I's first date, going for coffee and then seeing that movie. I remember a lot of "Dayum!" and "TEEHEE look his penis is showing!"

Please tell me one of you has read the "wand to Willy" lines? You just replace the word wand with Willy in the book and the results are hilarious.
