I'm 5'2 and have a Goal weight of 128. This could always be adjusted but for now, it is what it is!!
Truth is I'll be happier with any weight that is less than current, I'm currently 148 and will be thrilled to get to the 130's even if it is 139,I'll take it!! Babysteps!0 -
I'm 5'2 and my beginning weight when I actually tried to start losing weight was 215, two summers ago. I am currently 187/6-ish... and my goal weight is 160 for now. I think once I get to 160, I'll be super happy about it. I might even lower the goal to 150. I know that must be high for my height, but I have always been heavy, my whole life.It's been very hard for me to tell if I will change at all if I lost my weight.
It took me about 7 months just to lose 5-6 pounds because I kept fluctuating between 195 and 190. I'm happy now that I'm in the 180's but I really need to give myself some real challenges... don't know where to begin.
Money is tight, and I don't have a car to get to the gym often. I am at school a lot, and have a lot of things to worry about that I don't eat correctly anymore. Most days I find myself eating almost nothing at all, and then when I do get something to eat, it is probably bad and I eat a lot of it. But I'm trying to hang in there!
If anyone has tips for me to help me lose weight a little faster than I am now, or some good exercise tips that helped them maintain a good weight, that would be great. You can message me, or quote me here. I am very open to new things, and I gotta get this weight off as soon as I can.0 -
I'm 5'1 and doing my goals in 10 pound increments. I've been so unhealthy for so long, but I have a surprising amount of muscle, especially in my legs.... probably from carrying my fat *kitten* around all this time lol! I'm honestly not even sure what would look healthy on me at this point. That being said, I'm halfway to my first 10 pounds! I may end up having a 40 pound goal, but I don't want to put a number in my head and get wrapped up in just a number. Being healthy is my biggest goal right now, so I'll do it 10 pounds at a time.0

I'm 5'3 (I feel tall in here) and my goal weight is 140. I have a large frame with a large chest and broad shoulders. With my body build, I gain muscle easily, but lose fat very slowly.
In high school I was this weight, but it was from radical fad dieting. Now I am doing everything the right and maintainable way (for me, may be different for someone else) by learning portion sizes, exercising, and not eliminating any food groups. Since I have never been that weight healthily I want to see what that looks like before I decide I may want to go smaller.0 -
I'm 4'11" and my goal weight is 105. My weight gain came from some steroid injections last spring. My highest weight was 135 last spring. Finally down to 126.Has anyone here had to lose medication induced weight gain? I'm losing about 1lb a month but I know I'll get down to my goal if I keep consistent. It is difficult not to get frustrated0

5" 2. 151. Weird thing is almost everyone I know doesn't think I'm fat at all and look at me crazy when I say I want to lose 25lbs. They ask me if I want to look like a twig (secretly yes hahaha). I should mention that I have double d's and a very round, nice badonk that I don't wanna lose. 145 looks really good on me bt according to BMI i should be at most 135. hmmm. Oh well. Trying it out. My body is sooo comfy at 150 though that even when I work out like a beast and look good I still at least 148. Frustrated and confused!!0

I am 5'2" and currently 139. When I started in Nov 2011 I was 152 and my goal weight is 127. I was losing really quickly at first but these past two months it has really slowed and I have maintained. I would really like to see it start moving down again so I am trying to mix it up a bit.
I feel better than ever and have gone down 2 sizes but no scale movement lately.0 -
I'm 5'2" and started at 139. I want to get to 120 but boy it's been a struggle. For the last 3 weeks I haven't lost anything! I'm somewhat muscular. I've had 3 kids and I'm over 40, so I'm trying to get to my desirable weight has been crazy hard. I don't see losing another 12 pounds in the next 6 weeks! But that's ok., I'm finding that at least I'm doing it slowly and it's making me more aware of the things I do eat. I don't do much weights these days (I used to work out 4-5 days a week with weights, hence the muscular build) but have been trying to kick butt on the cardio thing. I have however lost 11 inches total body.
I start the 30 Day Shred from Jillian Michaels tonight. I have read success stories on MFP, which made me buy it, but have any of you shorties had success with this?0 -

I got only as far as Level 2 of the 30DS, but I do think it aided in my weight loss. I like it, but it does get a bit monotonous. The push-ups and planks (in L2) really kick my butt. I hope to start again once I get back to exercising!
As for my goal weight... I'm 4'10.5" (every little bit counts) my current goal is 115. Once I get there I'll re-evaluate.0 -
I'm 5'1 and 130. I have a goal weight of 115/110, and then once I get there I will see how I feel.
I lost a lot of weight about a year ago because I was going through a hard time,and went down to 115.. but it wasn't a healthy way to lose weight! (I didn't look bad though!) This time I want to lose that weight steadily and slowly so that I can keep it off!!0 -
I'm 4'10 and 116. I really want to get down to 105! I'm a college student and during the school year it's definitely hard to find time to get in shape and now its summer so I definitely want to look good in a bathing suit!0

I am 5'1 and my goal weight is around 130 lbs. I was able to get to 155 lbs in Sept '10 but I gained it all back. I am looking to do it the right way this time.0

I'm 5'1'' and my goal weight (for now) is 104 lbs. It's only 3 pounds away! Basically, I just want to drop my body fat percentage a little. I know that 104 may seem low, but I'm at 107 now and I see that I still have some areas to work on. One pound of fat goes a long way for us shorties! (I recently gained back 1.5 pounds and definitely noticed my waistline getting pudgy. Also, I have a very small chest, so I don't have a lot of weight that I'm carrying there.
I think if I get to 104, it will be a matter of gaining muscle and dropping body fat (if I still want to at that point). I don't think I should go below 100 though.0 -
I am 4' 11 and weight 141 right now. My doctor and I agreed on a goal weight of 120. I too thought that was a little high but the way I am built she said she thought I would not look good if I lost much more than that. I have lots of curves. Anyway, I will be thrilled just to get to 120.

Hello I am 5'1/2" I started at 198. Yes 2 lbs away from 200. I think I want to set my goal at 130 and see at that point. I was a whopping 98 lbs when I got married 32yrs ago. This has been a slow gain over all these yrs with lots of yo-yo dieting. I am trying to do it the right way this time. Feel free to add me as your friend0

I'm 5'2" and currently am at 152. My goal is 135 and, like quite a few of you, I will reassess when I hit it. My lowest weight in my adult life was 130 when I got married 20 years ago, Since then, I have had two kids, enlarged my hips and started menopause. :huh:
Over the past couple of years, I have become a gym rat and work out regularly. I have added quite a bit of muscle (I actually have a butt!). However, being VERY busty and having a small frame to boot is a decision factor in my weight goals. I don't want to be any more out of proportion nor topple over. :laugh:0 -
Hello every one im 27 and struggling yet once again oh me oh my. Im 5'0 and have been struggling for years now since my early teen years I didnt fit in then and still dont now cause of my weight. I just need to get it under contol its take me over AHHHHH stop it fat " feed me feed me i was fat food". See it yells at me to feed it when I dont need I just eat cause im in front of the tv or my computer bad shame on me. So im trying to make a hole new me with just some simple changes weight is one of them. Off I go to clean...

I'm 5ft and at the moment, I weigh 103.2lbs, I want to get back down to 94lbs, I've been alot lower so I think it's a good healthy weight for my height:)0

I'm 5'0" and want to get down to 100lbs. I used to be 105, ballooned up to 165 and now down to 147. I was happy at 105, but I think just losing that extra 5lbs this time will really help. I don't think I could go any lower than 100 though because I have quite big boobs and they don't really shrink with weight loss (at least they didn't before). I'm aiming for 125 by Christmas, hopefully!0

I am 5 1" and weigh 126 and 57 years old. I have a wii and you put in your age and height. When I reached that weight it told me I should lose another 11 pounds. I am big busted and have lost weight there also, thank goodness. I wear and size 4 petite pant now.
Where do you find the smaller sizes? I have had to order pants at Coldwater Creek. They only get a few they said. But if I lose another 10 pounds I will have to find sizes smaller than a 4. I do the wii step ( I bought the extension for the wii balance board) I do the beginner step once, the advanced step twice, and the wii continuous step for 30 minutes. I also do strength training with the wii 3 times a week. At night , I usually walk the dog 2 1/2 miles but not always every night, it depends how much exercise I get during the day. That is where the fitbit comes in.

I'm 5 feet and currently about 118 lbs. I'm hoping to get down to around 100, not because of the weight but because that is the only size where I don't have that flabby tummy pudge! I'm a total apple with tiny arms and legs but a round belly (my sister calls it the buddah) and it only does away when I"m quite small.0

hello i am 5'3" and my goal weight is 165 at the moment. i actually would love to drop down to 145 to my before baby weight. once i get there i want to be at least 125-130. i loved it when i was at the weight so hopefully i get there.0

I just joined the group and at 5'3" and currently 170 with a starting weight of 283.4 I bet I was/am the largest lol. We all started somewhere.0
