Hi everyone!
I recently started taking fish oil along with my daily multivitamin. Anyone taking anything else like Vitamin D or B? Why???
Thanks!

Thinking about adding Biotin (it's one of the B vitamins) Sister says it helps with metabolism.0 -
I drink an Alive Energizer Shake (mix with almond milk) it has vitamins/minerals/fruits/vegetables. I prefer the shake over the pills. The pills you have to take 3 and they are huge. The shake is my breakfast every morning. I have been having this for breakfast for over a year and so far of everyone I know, I have not gotten sick. No flu, No head cold.0

I take a few things mainly for - I have psoriasis - and it seems to help some.
Fish OIl
Flax Seed OIl
Evening Primrose Oil
Juice Plus (3 kinds)
Garden Blend
Orchard Blend
Vineyard Blend
Glucousamin
Hyaluronic Acid
Vitamin D
Alpha Lipoic Acid0 -
I take a multi vitamin,
fish oil
GLA (helps the arthritis)
ALA
vitamin D (mine gets horribly low in the winter months - have to get the big guns from the doc)
and vitamin C0 -
Centrum silver (multivitamin)
Niacin - time release (circulation)
Vitamin B-100 time release (energy)
Hawthorne Berry (herb for cardiovascular health)
1000mg Vitamin C
Vitamin D-3 & K-2 (helps in calcium absorption and cardiovascular health)
1000mg Omega 3 fish oil
100mg Resveratrol (antioxidant)
500 mg L-Arginine (amino acid for arterial/cardiovascular health)
As you can see, my supplement regime is geared more towards cardiovascular health, mainly because heart disease runs in the family. But not a bad idea for anybody in general, especially if you haven't always eaten well when you were younger!
I'd especially recommend the vitamin D3 & K2 combination, for a woman, it helps her utilize calcium in the most efficient way for protection against osteoporosis. While taking calcium supplements is good, without the proper dosage of vitamin K2, the body just dumps the excess calcium onto anything it thinks is solid, including tendon sheaths and the wall of arteries.0 -
FISH OIL - your body won't store bad saturated fat and use good omega 3 oil included in fish oil.
EVENING PRIMOSE OIL - help with cleaning my fatty liver
MILK TRISTLE = help with cleaning liver
FLAX SEEDS - help with digestion and upset stomach0 -

-
i take B12 injections biweekly and vitamin D
I really should start taking a multivitamin as well....ran out and just keep forgetting to get more0 -
I dabble here and there, but for the most part I consistently take;
Align probiotic for the healty bacteria intestinal health.
Citrucel for extra fiber and regularity.
Barleans Womens Essentual oils (omega 3-6-9) for everything! they are partially derived from flax seed and when I need to lay off the flax I switch to fish oil.
Vitamin D or cal/Mag on occasion, but I forget.
I don't take vitamins mainly because I eat them thru my food.0 -
Here's what I take:
multi-vitamin with iron (I don't eat red meat, pork, or poultry and I'm picky about the vegetables I eat so I need the B vitamins and iron)
green tea extract (for antioxidants and it seems to give my metabolism a little boost)
calcium + D (all women over 30 should take this)
ginseng (it gives me energy)
gingko (it helps me concentrate)0 -
Hi,
I take B-12 and iron. The B keeps my energy level up. Guess the same thing for the iron. Otherwise I'd be sluggish and anemic.0 -
I'm just taking a multi-vitamin. That's all my doctor told me to take.0
-
I have just started taking L-Carnitine, it's suggested that it will increase your use of fat for energy - i'll let you know if there are positive results0

I love my Vitamin D! Low levels of vitamin D are linked to many issues. Plus it's a small and affordable pill. I take-
2000 of Vitamin D
multi vitamin
calcium
1 fish oil (super DHA. My doctor says high DHA is good for your heart)0
