I workout 6 days a week. I find that I have to. Dieting is not enough for me.

Wow! I dont think i could keep up six days a week! I do a class at the gym called "Forever Fit" three days a week. One of the days doesn't have much cardio (focussing on strength, flexibility and balance), so I do intervals on the elliptical either before the class or on another day. I intentionally set my activity level at "lightly active" so I won't often track anything except intentional exercise. I purchased a HRM that I like using to keep track.

I started about a year ago. There was a group of us women getting together one day a week to do zumba. Then I brought Jillian Michaels shred it video and we started doing that. 2 of the other girls wanted to do it a couple days a week, so we did. Then one of the girls bought the insanity workout and asked me to do it with her. I am here to tell you that was really rough, alot of jumping around. It hurt my knees but I made it through it. I did not really lose any weight during the program but I was not watching my diet. In November of last year I found this site and started doing a diet plan along with exercise. We moved on to Chalean Extream, it is a weight training and cardio workout. I lost 14 inches in the 3 month program. We just finished Brazil Butt Lift and I lost 21 lbs, and another 12 inches in my body. We will be starting P90X today. I think what you eat is the most important part of weight loss and I think with diet alone you could lose weight but I also want a toned body and that is why I exercise, I also feel great from working out.

I ride my st. bike at least 35 minutes 3X a day,5X a week. Sometimes a few spins on the weekend. Need to change it up a bit and looking for ideas. Have a bad hip and back so no jumping for me. I have a kettleball workout that I'm looking at and a resistance band one-just haven'd done it yet.

Back in the day (pre kids) I used to love to exercise. I would leave early for work in the mornings and get in a full 45-60 min workout 5 days a week.
it was great to have it done and over with too!

Then the kids came, and I was stay at home mom, so got to go exercise once or twice a week after hubby came home from work.

Now as single mom pushing 50, I'm finding it harder to find time, and find something that motivates me.

I did sign up for the 180-350+ challenge this month, and did my 30 min walk yesterday. Power walked 15-20 and then did a cool-down walk on the way home. My daughter came with, and roller bladed with me. It was pretty nice.
I've signed up for adult swim lessons that begin tonight. I know how to swim, but I'm not really comfortable so figure it's time to get rid of my bad habits and get more efficient with it.

As for knees, joints, backs, I tried the Zumba and it was GREAT, but it hurt way too much. I will try again once I 'm not carrying so much extra ME around.

Wii games are good, things like the dance party ones are fun too. We get some good laughing in while we try to mimic the dancers on screen!

    hang in there.

I try to get in the gym 4 days a week. When I can I take the dogs for a long walk along the river. Usually I try to walk at a moderate to aggressive pace. When I am at the gym I do cardio, stretching, weights and sit ups with push ups. Trying to break up the monotony is sometimes a challenge when working out. I am at the point now if I don't go work out I won't feel very good.

I try to walk a minimum of 5 miles 4 days a week. Some days I will do 8 - 10 miles. So far that is my only exercise. I just can not get motivated to do more.

Anyone else joining in on the 180-360+ Move it challenge???

This will be my third month doing it, and it's made a big difference to my consistency and variety of exercise. Not to mention my accountability.

What other groups are really good on here???

So I met with a trainer and was speaking about my routine and diet etc well he said not to add the treadmill. I was doing enough cardio with my attendance as it stands, But to come into the are with the strength training machines 2-3 days a week and work at building some muscle which helps you burn better and quicker. So Tues Wed and Saturday I will add on this circuit routine on the suggested machines. We shall see.
