Fiance Does Not Notice Weight Loss

I'm getting a little bit upset that my fiance has not noticed my weight loss. I haven't weighed myself to see how much I have lost so far, but I was able to put on a size smaller jeans today. I have felt like I have lost some in my stomach. My old pants were getting baggy, so I put the next size smaller on and they fit. My right leg is much bigger then my left knee, so it is tighter in one leg then the other.
My fiance has been really supportive and has said how proud he is that I have made so many ajustments on my eating habits, but he doesn't notice anything else. Just wanting to vent a little bit I guess. Thanks for listening.

Sometimes I think that the people closest to us, should be able to see the little changes before others, but in fact, I have found it the other way around...since they see us everyday, I think it's hard for them to notice the things that are huge accomplishments for us. But, if you were to run into someone you haven't seen in a while, I am sure they would notice right off the bat...keep up the good work...your clothes will tell the story...you are doing great!!

I think you are right. I guess it just makes us feel bad since we think that they are the ones who should notice. Even if he loses 5 lbs, I know. I can tell when I put my arms around him. So I guess that is what makes me a litte upset. I find myself trying to look thinner so he will say something. I need to just realize that I am doing this for me and not for him anyway, so why does it matter.

I think that men get complacent, and they just dont notice the little things, that to us are the BIG things...That is my theory...I just come right out and ask my hubby, he said my roll was soooo much smaller, made me feel good, now if only the roll was non-existent.
Vent away, cause you know I do. You look great so dont fret, in time he WILL notice and you will be floored.

I don't think it's a man thing. My mom lives with us, and she couldn't really notice a difference either until I showed her some side by side pics from before surgery and 1 month out.

The people I see once a week though were the first to notice the changes. I really think it's just because they see us so often that they have a hard time noticing those differences.

I would have to agree... My husband noticed only after a large amount and my mom see's me on a daily basis as well and she didn't notice till after a large amount either. When you see the person on a daily basis its hard to see the little differences. So to help in the bathroom i have 2 jars with pretty rocks in them and on 1 jar says lbs lost and the other is lbs left i and i write the number on our bathroom mirror and change it when i lose weight with a highlighter and he notices that way. Men are visual creatures try that and see if he then notices :)

Perhaps he believes that if he tells you how good you look now, he's implying that you looked horrible before and does not want to hurt your feelings.

My boyfriend can correctly guess my weight pretty much within 2 pounds. He's very observant.

I think their minds are just on the moment and they are thinking about fishing and the other things that they like. Unless it is a skinny girl who walks in front of them, then they notice...loo
