First love = true love
In fighting/shounen kind of things big boobs = more powerful. (There are exceptions, such as Lina Inverse. And these characters are usually underestimated due to their lack of big boobies.)
THE POWER COMES FROM THE BOOBIES.
I have a whole series of effin things i noticed while raging at Inu-yasha. I freaking hate inu-yasha, that show drove me insane
-everyone will yell everyone else's name like fifty times whenever anything happens. KAGOMEEEE. INUYASHAAAAA. MIROKUUUU. INUYASHAAA!!
AND YEAH MIROKU'S WIND TUNNEL IS USELESS FOREVER because there's always some like stupid poisonous things in the air that will hurt him to suck up. AND EVEN IF HE CAN USE IT, everyon'e slike DONT USE YOUR WINDTUNNEL, ITLL GET TOO BIG AND YOULL DIE and hes always ilke IM DOIN IT and i guess it enver gets too big and kills hiim but I don't know because.. i didn't watch that far.
That show, UGH.
ANYWAY.
In general, in a lot of shounen series, of course, it's super hard for characters to die. But characters will always be bandaged the same way..
bandage around their head, sometimes covering an eye as well, and a bandage across their chest, sometimes one arm. EVERY BATTLE YIELDS THE SAME INJURIES?
My friends and I laugh about all of the cliches in Boys Love series especially. (We both love BL and read a lot of it, but still, can't deny the huge recurrign stuff.)0 -

At some point in every anime, a character MUST get sick (Which is common, okay) and experience some sort of fainting spell. It's always the same. Everyone has a fever and then passes out because of their fever. I can name about three different animes that did it.. well I could if I hadn't been drinking already. Lol0

You know, I was totally coming in here to post that. I've never had a fever THAT bad in my entire life!0 -

Inorite?! I've been pretty sick on my days, but never have I fainted from it... although I'm sure it's possible.0 -
Maybe this been said but if you have spiky hair and the male you are probly the man protaginist. Bleach, dbz, naruto0

Another one to go along with this: The characters that have spiky hair must use some sort of super gel because it's always perfect. And if you have long hair, even if it's blown in the wind, it never gets tangled or anything... *****es...0 -
Why does this thread remind me of TV tropes?0
-
Pretty boys in shonen series are usually gay or slashable. Pretty boys in shoujo are generally all interested in the same girl. Reverse harem. XD0

This reminds me of the first time I worked out with my friend Taka. He asked me if I was seeing black circles, and I said "yeah, I also saw them yesterday when I was running. Should I have stopped?" Taka: "Uh, yeah, that would have been a good idea..." Me: "Yeah, I probably should have thought of that sooner, because I'm a fainter." Taka: "You're a fainter?! You should have said that BEFORE we started working out! I need to know this kind of stuff!" Me: "Oh, well, if I start to faint, I'll just tell my body to suck it up."
Yeah. I'm a fainter and I've never had a fever so bad that I've fainted from it either. But I do faint randomly sometimes!
Oh, and my contribution: If there is a person who is best friends/in love with somebody, they will inevitably have to fight/kill them in some form, sometime in the future.0 -
Male: the longer your hair, the more super powerful you are xD0

Not to mention, your hair is always f*cking perfect. I wish my hair was like that! *pouts*0 -
Dude.
Long, silver hair = BAMF villian.
Sephiroth. Xemnas. Kadaj. Gregorio III [er..thats a videogame too..]. and probably a crapload of other's I can't remember right now~0 -
This seems to apply more to mangas, but:
Even when the current antagonist constantly does horrible sh** to the main character (Sae from peach girl, pretty much ALL the kids from G.T.O, etc...) , the MC will still forgive/ feel sorry for them and eventually befriend them.
(ETA: It always pisses me off when I see this one! Dx)0 -

Same goes for girls D;. My hair is about as long as the long-haired girls in anime, and when it shows their hair swaying perfectly in the wind, or when they're fighting, it's like, NO. IT DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY.0 -

It pisses me off too. Peach Girl in general made me want to bang my face into the wall repeatedly ;3. I think it's the main character's type "O" blood, they're always so kind and forgiving >> . . .0 -

No matter where you go, there is always wind to blow through your hair, and a background of lightning or roses to accompany your monologue.0

There have to be more rules, guys, we have to keep this going!
My contribution, when there is a transfer student, you know *kitten* is about to go down!
*kitten*, it edited my cursing.0 -
I has no more ideas
Good guys usually die in badass/hilarious ways?0 -

Most of the time the main protagonist is very loud, brash, and easily gets into arguments with their friends
Natsu (Fairy Tail), Naruto (Naruto), Recca (Flame of Recca), Lina Inverse (Slayers), Elle (Shadow Skill), Hibiki (Vandread), Inuyasha (Inuyasha), etc...
Most main protagonists usually have really spiky hair that defies wind and gravity, and sometimes rain
Natsu (Fairy Tail), Naruto (Naruto), Recca (Flame of Recca), Elle (Shadow Skill), Goku (DBZ), Gon (HxH), Yugi (Yugioh), Ash (Pokemon), L (Death Note), Cloud Strife and Zack Fair (FF7), Sora (KH), etc...
If the boy and girl don't get along and argue with each other a lot OR the girl is the one who keeps yelling or hitting the boy they're bound to fall in love
Ranma and Akane (Ranma 1/2), Lina and Gourry (Slayers), Shun and Ruriko (Gatekeepers), Kagome and Inuyasha, Sango and Miiroku (Inuyasha), Anna and Yoh (Shaman King), Haruhi and Tamaki (OHSHC) etc...
Most main protagonists have black or blonde hair
blonde: Naruto (Naruto), Edward (Full Metal Alchemist), Usagi/Sailormoon (Sailormoon), Vash (Trigun), Rosette (Chrono Crusade), Cloud Strife (FF7), Tamaki (OHSHC), Lucy (Fairy Tail), Goku in SS mode (DBZ), Chi (Chobits), etc...
black: Shun (Gatekeepers), Ranma (Ranma 1/2), Kagome (Inuyasha), Yoh (Shaman King), Takashi (HSoTD), Zack Fair (FF7), Haruhi (OHSHC), Goku (DBZ), etc...
Only older female characters wear lipstick or makeup. The young teenage ones apparently aren't allowed to wear them. The older female characters also have smaller eyes.
Sailor Pluto (Sailor Moon), Ultear, Minerva (Fairy Tail), Kagura (Inuyasha), Tsunade (Naruto), Kagero (Flame of Recca), etc...
These are just some really common things I've observed that gets repeated a lot in anime
feel free to add any more to the list :flowerforyou:0 -
Accidental Yuri is funny? (Bakka and Test).
I got nothing. But I'm enjoying this thread!0 -
I am not too sure if this was said already but:
If the anime revolves around school life, there is usually:
A school festival of some sort; which involves all of the student body contribute to some sort of cliche theme (such as maid cafe, haunted house, etc)
There is always that filler episode about the students being out of school (winter break, summer vacation, golden week, etc)
Don't forget the class field trip!
Oh! And there is ALWAYS a female character that can not cook.0 -
I got one,
If your main char is a male and he insults or pisses off one of his female companions though she is usually much weaker she always beats the hell out of him and he is deathly afraid of her wrath0 -
Seems like there now has to be a female character that likes anime and/or galges...
Izumi Konata, Kashiwazaki Sena, Toshino Kyoko...
which means, you may get a Comiket episode thrown in with your usual school events, festivals, pool/beach, hot springs, and holiday episodes!0 -
Main characters always sit in the second to last window seat.
Only exception I can think of from recently watched anime is Nichijou.0 -

I think there's the occasional main character who sits in the third row from the front and one column to the right from the center (the windows seem to be on the right most of the time), but maybe I'm thinking of supporting characters.0 -
the dumbest guy in the whole class has the smartest girls after them0

The more/louder you yell, the more powerful your attack becomes.
Quoted for truth.
And the main character always wins no matter how outclassed (See: every shonen anime ever)0 -
