Hey guys,

I don't have the book, just the info on the gaps website. It doesn't mention maple syrup. I'm assuming it's allowed but do you know if it is?

I did a quick "yahoo search" for "Maple Syrup GAPS" and a few blog posts came up saying "NO it is not allowed".

I have used it...and still do...as long as it is the REAL stuff.

I LOVE some with my hm yogurt and things.

I am out now so when I make some grain free pancakes for the kids we use some honey with melted coconut oil as the syrup.

Thanks for the info. I don't use a lot of it anyway but figured as it is a natural sugar that it should be okay. I'll use it sparingly.

far as I know only honey and fruit sugars are allowed on gaps ..We use maple syrup ..it 's natural not sure why it is not allowed.. that doesn't quite make sense to me
