Hey I'm at a total loss here! I joined the gym and I'm eating right and I haven't lost anything in like 2 weeks? What the heck is the deal? I'm very discouraged! I have to be honest I have fudged a few time on my eating habits but for the most part I'm sticking with it! Whats the deal y'all?????

There's a big assortment of reasons why this could be happening. Take a skim into the plateau threads in the forum, they're pretty helpful. Some of the things they recommend are,
Upping your calories for a bit.
Taking on more intense workouts.(careful with that one)
    Really evaluating food choices.
Taking a week off to eat "normally" and do only light exercising like getting a walk in.
  • I agree. I am not in any way qualified to make nutritional or excercise recomendations, but the key for me has been to constantly switch up my routine, both eating and excercise. It confuses the heck out of my body and it has no clue what is going on. I always stay under my BMR but I vary my calorie intake between 200-700 calories per day depending on what kind of exercises I am going to do. I also try to have days where I don't obsess so much about what I am eating, and though I log everything I don't really feel so bad as long as I stay under my BMR. I also have days where I train hard with weights, then some where I play on the Wii for a half an hour or so. I am not consistant, and it works for me ( if that makes any sense lol)!

You will get through this though, keep your head up! You are doing great!

Do you write down what you eat? I find that helps me control my intake of junk. When I started that I really noticed a big drop in my weight loss.
