I'm curious on that. I know it's great for skin. I've used it as a moisturizer on my legs (I get that nasty scaly, flaky dry skin) and it works great. I have a few stretch marks (not from kids) on me. Would love to see the disappear a little.
I found a huge jar of Lou-Ana coconut oil at Wal-Mart for $6 (huge plastic jar).0 -

If you are going to use the Lou-Ana brand in cooking make sure it isn't refined....
Honestly I think if you have stretch marks there isn't much you can do about them - there are all sort of things out on the market that supposedly gets rid of stretch marks but stretch marks are points of your skin that have lost elasticity - no cream is going to help it get back it's elasticity...for things like pregnancy - you can use a lot of moisturizers to keep skin pliable so as to reduce the chances of getting stretch marks - but once you have them...true stretch marks where they have a whitish hue to them...if you have reddish ones the elasticity may not be fully gone and you may be able to dimish them through moisturizing0 -

Ugh really? I am so depressed right now.0 -
I remember hearing somewhere (don't quote me) that strength exercises can help restore a little bit of elasticity to the skin.0

I have had stretch marks all over my torso, thighs, and upper arms since I was a fat little 8 year old. It only got worse after being over 320 pounds and then losing half of that. I had skin removal surgery about 6 years ago. I have tried everything for my stretch marks (including coconut oil), and pretty much I have discovered (and my doctors told me this too) that they will slowly fade over time but they will probably always be with me. My body is never going to look like it nver was morbidly obese. But I'm learning to b comfortable with who I am. I'm strong, healthy, and lovely- besides scarring is like a war metal- it's proof of the battles I've won0

but I haven't won any battle. I was just a fat *kitten*. I'm so disappointed right now I hate it.0 -
Then win the battle with yourself over being upset with this, and take yourself as you are.
We've all got something, and you rose above it.

This.
Like someone else said, if your stretch marks are still red/pink you can expect them to fade to a silver, but aside from surgical intervention, they will always be with you. Sorry Although my stretch marks are from a baby, pregnancy did a lot of damage to my skin and I have just had to make my peace with it. We can't all expect to go through things in our lives and be left completely unmarked by them.0
