This is SO true! It's tempting to work through my lunch to try to get more done, but by mid-afternoon, I am almost asleep and I end up not getting anything done. If I make an effort to walk or go to my yoga class at lunch, I feel so much better.
It's also easy to give in to time crunch or pressure from family members and make food choices that aren't healthy...fast food, fried things, processed stuff. But taking a little extra time to make a salad and a fresh vegetable enables me to be more satisfied after dinner and stay away from the Coke and the ice cream.
I feel like my 30-lb. weight gain is a direct result of trying to make other peoples' lives easier instead of doing what's best for me. I'm trying to learn how to put myself first.0
