Could ya'll tell me how to set my macros to fit the Keto diet? I have been trying to do under 45g of carbs a day but I think it might need to be lower. Thank you!!!

    From Reddit.com (http://www.reddit.com/r/keto/comments/n1ddr/for_those_using_myfitnesspal/):

From your MFP home page --> Goals tab --> Change goals --> chose "custom" NOT GUIDED --> Enter in how many calories you wish to hit in a day. Then choose your macro percentages in the drop down for carbs, protein, and fat (65/30/5 percent).
Doing this will automatically tell you what your daily intake for your macros are, and will make it easier for you to know if you're actually hitting them. Also, add a fiber column so you know what to subtract for the day.
There's also a notation at the bottom of your daily diary. You could put what your net carbs were for the day as a reference.
Hope this helps. I just noticed a lot of people had odd macros in their diaries.
EDIT: to add a fiber column go to settings --> Diary Settings --> Nutrients tracked and add it from one of the drop down menu's (you should have 5 drop downs to chose from to set up what you want to track).
  • I also recommend using the "MyFitnessPal Percentages and Net Carbs" at http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/124645. It'll add a display of Carb/Protein/Fat percentages to any daily food diary page. Since I use Chrome, it was a quite easy to get it working.

I use the same macros as saintsfanatik, just different rations (5% carb/30% pro/65% fat)! :)
