Little help for a newbie :)

I have calculated all my numbers based on my stats now and understand that my goal is to never eat below my BMR(1607) and to try and eat at 15% below my TDEE which would be 1865. What I am wondering is what is the food balance how much protein, carbs, fat, sugar etc are you all eating? My diary is open and would love any input you may find beneficial to me. The other question I have is did you change your goals to your tdee - 15% or your BMR plus excercise?

I changed my goal to 15% cut. I only look at the food calories and NET. If I net below my BMR I need to eat more calories until I get back to netting BMR.
I also changed my macros to 40% carb, 30% protein, 30% fat like Lucia and Kiki recommend.0 -

So today my excercise burn was 196 and my BMR is 1607 so I have to NET 1803, right?0

Your cut (TDEE-15%) is 1865 eat that amount everyday (which would be Food intake on MFP) - if you exercise or not.
If you are logging exercise in MFP and notice that the NET is below BMR of 1607 then you would eat back exercise calories to meet your BMR.
If you are consistently having to eat more to NET your BMR then you probably have your TDEE to low based on activity factor. So if you choose light you would increase to moderate etc.0 -
Thanks! This is very strange to me because I truly am full right now and I still need about 350 calories...I am over in my carbs and sugar because I was on the road today and ate 2 protein bars ...so what do I eat with that many calories? This will definately take some getting used to!0

Glad to see you here! I am researching and upping calories, too.
I had three MORE eggs with butter tonight after having two for breakfast this am.
I also had more cottage cheese (full fat) than I usually do today and an extra TB of almond butter with my apple.
I have 500 calories left and will have homemade almond flour (low carb and low sugar) cookies.
Let's see how this goes, shall we!?0 -

Hi!! I am SOooooooooo scared to be doing this but want to get this done right and for good! I can't believe how hard it is for me to eat that many calories...I am FULL. I go to vegas in a few weeks so if I spike 8 lbs I may lose it  I have also been quite trained by my nutritionist to be below 40G's of carbs and eating this many calories almost makes that impossible. I JUST WANT TRUTH!! Which way is right ?!?!?:sad:0 -
Are you overweight? You look so tiny in your photos! Of course, I don't know your current weight.
40 g carbs is low! I enjoy food so much right now and splurge often on lunches out. I am going with it for now since I am still nursing.
I love watching your journey here!
I have a suggestion, can you get full fat yogurt the next time you shop? Also, almond butter adds a good punch in calories.
I know what you mean about being scared.0 -

Yes, I know what you mean, LOL.
No more jiggle, please!
Losing inches rocks! How awesome about the small size. I think that is even better than losing pounds.0
