Need Some Motivation!!

I need to lose about 12 to 15 pounds and it is the hardest thing to do! I just turned 40 and have five kids and gradually my small frame has added weight it should not have on it. I want to be between 120 and 125 pounds. I am in week four of couch to 5 K and I am running three days a week and doing strength exercises 3 days and resting on the 7th. I am eating 1200 calories using a balance from Jillian Michaels book "Making the Cut" for my metabolic type. Eating the right food is hard for me (with five kids in the house we have all kinds of stuff that I should not eat!!!) so i am looking for a few people to keep me honest in my food diary and check on me. I think if I know someone is looking at my progress (or a few people) I will stick to it. I am on the right track...just need someone to cheerlead and harass me if I don't do what I am supposed to! Keeping the food diary has helped...I know there are others out there like me!

The food diary has helped me a ton too, but I know what you mean. It's very tempting to add a little extra exercise (that you didn't actually do) or to make a portion size just a little bit smaller to get some extra calories to splurge on. Just remember, if you lie to MFP you are really lying to yourself, and in the long run you are the one who pays! I've learned that give and take really helps, if you want to have some fruit snacks then go for a walk on your lunch break to make up for it or give up a different snack later on to balance out your caloric intake. Also, once a week, my fiance and I go out for dinner and eat whatever we want (within reason) to keep us honest for the rest of the week. This really helps me when I am thinking about breaking into the cupboards for something delicious. Instead I just remind myself about the big night out I'm going to have that weekend and hold off. Also, the build up makes it all the more awesome! I could also use someone to keep me honest, so feel free to add me as a friend! Good luck to you!

Im not really cheating in my diary...I just need to know that someone else might look at it and be like, "You ate what???" or "You didn't exercise today." That is what I need. If someone is checking on me, I know I will stick to it! Thanks!! I will add you as a friend!

I'm with you ladies! I need some motivation too. I have such a sugar addiction (today I went over by 93 grams!!!!) and I just can't motivate myself to work out. I got up early this morning but ended up taking care of little chores around the house instead of jogging as planned. Please friend me too! :)

 I never thought of over- estimating my calories burned during exercising. Do you think that some are actually doing this?
It wouldn't be to their advantage !!!

I agree that the last few pounds are murder. But, we can do this !!!!
