Baton Rouge friends, I need recommendations for a new (local) gym. Thinking about Planet Fitness or Anytime Fitness. What say you? The Y is too expensive so looking for something a little more reasonable plus better hours.

Does anyone in the BR area play tennis? I'm thinking of starting back although, I'm not very good. I'm thinking maybe when it starts getting cooler. I love to hit and volley and just for the exercise of it.

Summer's here (practically)
And we know that in South Louisiana it gets hot quick! How are you getting your exercise in and avoiding the heat and humidity? I'm trying to get up around 4:45 to get my runs in before work in the morning. Other times I'm either hitting the YMCA or my elliptical at home.
Cajun Dancing
Once a month, the Cajun French Music Association puts on a Cajun Dancing night (Mostly 2-step and Waltz) at the UCT Hall in Baton Rouge. It's only 10$ per person and they give student discounts. They give a lesson at 7, then the band starts at 7:30. It's so much fun, and alot of the older people will help you out and dance…
