Do you eat at maintenance and let the breastfeeding calories be your deficit? Do you let MFP calculate a deficit for you and then add the negative calorie item to your day?
My son is 5 months old, and we supplement with formula (usually just one feeding per day while I'm at work, as I've not been able to build up a stash sufficient to keep him fed all day) and he is starting to eat some purees and infant cereals. Until now I have been adding "Breastfeeding" as a breakfast food worth negative…
So I went for awhile where I was steadily losing weight. Then my son started getting in his MOLARS and now he is pretty much breastfeeding on demand, it is driving me nuts, and I have GAINED 13 LBS. I guess my body is telling me I need more calories and then storing the calories despite my efforts to burn the calories.…
i need lunch ideas! I am a mostly stay at home mom with an 11 month old and a 7 year old in school. I am struggling with healthy lunch ideas that are quick and not a salad...
I just wanted to introduce myself! My name is Kate. I'm 24 and a sahm to a beautiful 13 month old. We are still breastfeeding and hope to make it another year or so. I'm having trouble deciding how to add calories back for nursing, or if I even should. She still nurses several times a day and at least once a night. Any…
Hey - I'm looking for some friends on MFP for support to lose the few remaining pounds and more importantly keep it off. Further goal is to transform my body and get the toned, moderately muscular (definitely not body building style), slim look I see in magazines. I am still nursing my toddler who is now 20 months old. He…

Unfortunately, I gained 40 pounds with her and have only lost 18. I'm in love with my daughter, but I'm really having a hard time not…
So I love nursing, but I'm so tired of trying to find a nursing-accessible dress that doesn't look like every other nursing dress out there. They're always maternity dresses that happen to also work for nursing. They're always made of stretchy knit, with a cross-over or knotted bodice. I want something different! What do…
Does anyone else get annoyed with the fact that this site doesn't account for nursing moms who need 500 cals more than non-nursing women? When I track my eating, the site is warning me that I'm eating too much and that I'll gain weight. It's hard to keep motivation up when the food tracker can't factor in those extra…
I'm Stephanie and i'm 23 years old, and i have a 5 month old baby boy. When i found out i was pregnant i weighed 155, so i was already over weight (for my height) to begin with. I had HORRIBLE morning sickness and half way through my pregnancy i was 135. After having my son i weighed 160. I was under the impression that…
