Hi! I am similar…5'7" around 160. This is the heaviest i've ever been unless pregnant. I am 56 yrs old. Whenever I need to lose weight I must stop doing my workouts. I have found that walking is enough. I walk my dog and I walk 60 mins on my treadmill daily and this, along with tracking, and the calorie deficit has helped me begin to lose the weight. I know it will only get harder the more I lose. My plan is to switch up the cardio, week by week. So this week is the 60 min daily walk,. Next week I'll do a 30 min run/walk. I have always worked out and the workouts are always challenging (cardio & strength) but I cannot do that while I am trying to lose. Perhaps in maintenace, once I get there which I am hoping is this May/June of 2026.
