  • A lovely cheap probiotic would be to make your own milk kefir & drink daily, or sauerkraut. I swear by kefir

  • Remember to take it one day at a time, and be kind to yourself.
  • I personally find the Nike+ half marathon plan so great. Unfortunately it is a 14 week plan. Just be careful of increasing your mileage too much in the coming weeks, so you don't pick up an injury along the way. I think the recommended is 10% incr / week (I stand corrected). That being said, you most likely could complete…
  • If you can fit it into your schedule, why not do both? It doesn't seem right to drop something you clearly love
  • Great job! But please do consider trying a beginners training program so that you don't get hurt. It's weird what too much mileage can suddenly do to one (talking from experience as an over-enthusiastic runner). Maybe try C25k or one of the 5k training plans. The Nike+ programs are really good in my opinion.

  • The C25k is a good place to start. Running does take some time to get into if you're only starting out. Maybe finish the plan & see if you enjoy running and want to continue with it. Ultimately it's very rewarding not only in the calorie burn sense.
  • Please just be cautious with the energy drinks. Excessive consumption can mess up your heart. If you don't mind tea, then I can suggest ginseng or green tea for an energy boost
  • Ice your knees. At least for a few days. And rest for a week and ease back into running by cutting some of the mileage.
