  • From Class 3 obesity (321 lbs.) to "just" overweight (191 lbs.). I still have about 40-50 pounds to go, and progress is getting slower, but I'm not in any rush to hit my goal weight.
  • All the way back to January of 2011. The roller coaster ride has been long, with many climbs up many hills. The recent downslope has been pretty nice though. Almost 125 lb down, with another 50 or so to go.
  • Less than a pound to One-derland. Less than 10 pounds to leave obesity behind for good.
  • I hit 120 pounds down today. There may be a few more wrinkles without all of the fat smoothing things out, but I'm still thrilled with the progress.
  • I bought a bra off the rack at a department store! That's something that probably won't impress most people, but it's also something I have never been able to do in my adult life. My band and cup sizes are finally in the range where I don't have to order bras through specialty retailers. I'm also solidly outside of plus…
  • I had to leave BR for my new job, but I miss it bunches. Geaux Tigers!
  • The first picture was at my graduation in 2019. The second was at a graduation for my students last weekend. Down 112 pounds (and a lot of cheek) from my ATH. Loving that I no longer have to look up to hide my chins. So impressed by everyone's progress! Keep up the great work!
  • Over halfway there! F45, 5'7", SW: 321, CW: 217
  • F45, 5'7", SW: 321, CW: 217 Still a work in progress:
  • I was hanging up clothes out of the dryer last night and panicked that everything had shrunk in the wash. I'm still so new at seeing the new sizes of clothes that I briefly forgot that I'm the one who has been shrinking.
  • I've been bouncing around the 90 lbs. lost mark for a couple of weeks. My mini-goal is to get to 100 lbs. lost. I can't believe that's a "mini-goal" now, but I'm ready to see my hard work pay off. Hopefully I hit that milestone in time for my 300-day logging streak post to the forums. Fingers crossed!
  • 88 pounds down. Finally over halfway to my goal. SW: 321.7 CW: 234.0
  • Also, be aware that the barcode scan data is not always correct. Ultimately, all of the information has been entered by users, so it may not be 100% accurate. There isn't usually an issue, but if the data is critical for you, make sure to double-check that the entry in the database matches the label from the food item you…
  • I gave away my favorite dress to a student who needed it for a performance. It was the dress that did the best job of draping and covering all of my wobbly bits, but now it doesn't fit at all. Might as well be a parachute now that I'm down 85 pounds. I've never lost enough weight before or been confident enough in my…
  • Easter Island. I felt like every time I looked in another direction, there was something even more breathtaking to see. When you can take a picture like that with a cell phone, you know you're some place special.
  • That is awesome! Be so proud of the work you have done. 220 pounds is an incredible loss and your walking mileage is impressive. Keep it up!
  • While it might not be as intense as running, look for seated workouts on YouTube. When my mobility was limited, I started there and was still able to feel like I was doing something positive until my body was able to do more.
  • Just over halfway to my goal. I wouldn't normally share a picture as sweaty as I was after my run today, but that's part of the progress!
  • I bought two pairs of pants from the "regular" women's section (not plus-sized), and I managed to get both of them on! Still a little snug, but they'll fit like a glove in no time at all.
  • I took a selfie with the camera at face level (instead of looking up to hide extra chins), and I didn't hate it. Even took one from below and didn't instantly delete it like I used to. It's nice not to feel like I need to "work the angles" to manufacture progress. The progress is there because of the hard work I have been…
  • I sat in the seats at my university's theater tonight without having to squeeze myself between the armrests. My hips didn't even reach the edges of the seat, so I had enough room to put my arms beside me without even using the armrests at all.
  • Here's my past 6 months. Definitely not a straight line. I hit 250 in January, and then....well it was less of a plateau, and more of a trampoline for a few weeks while I was on medication that messed with my water retention. As soon as I got off the meds, I was able to slide off of that trampoline and get back on track.…
  • Two big ones: 1) I crossed my legs while sitting. Like, proper, thigh over thigh crossing. I literally can not remember the last time I could do that, and it just happened naturally while I was on one of my observation visits this week. 2) My knees didn't "talk" to me when I was going up stairs today. Usually, I am forced…
  • I just finished a course of three antibiotics for a major infection, and my loss stalled the entire time I was on them. As the previous posters said, I don't think it was the antibiotics themselves, rather my body fighting the infection, and all of the digestive side-effects of the medication. I had a three-week plateau,…
  • Right there with you! I knew that I would start having loose skin during the process of losing weight, I just wish it was somewhere less "face-adjacent". It bugs me every time I see it in the mirror. Then I remind myself of the trade-off, and realize that no amount of wrinkling anywhere on my body is justification for…
  • June 2019 near my highest weight of 321, to December 2020 at 253. I can finally, undeniably see progress!
  • 60 lbs. down and starting to see some change. My neck may be deflating like an old balloon, but that's a pretty fair tradeoff for how good I feel.
  • For me, it was filling out the ADA accommodation form to teach my college courses remotely because of increased Covid risk. I saw how far I was above the recommended max BMI of 30. Knowing that it was not only putting me at greater health risk, but also keeping me from teaching my students in person was a wake-up call.…
  • I just got my Quest 2 yesterday and have been loving the Fit XR workouts. This is going to be a lifesaver when I end up getting snowed in most of the winter!
  • Finally starting to see a change. Motivated by all of you who are making such amazing progress!
