I've successfully lost weight a couple of times before (the first time i tried losing weight, I lost around 15kg), but in no time I gained all of it back. After a few attempts i realized where I was going wrong. Whatever I was doing was not sustainable at all. So this time, I decided that I w ould do something which I could sustain for lifetime even though it meant losing weight at a slower rate. Initially I was frustrated due to lack of weight loss but eventually I started losing at a good pace.
What I'm doing now is sustainable because unlike my previous attempts I have not cut out any of my favorite foods. Im just concentrating on my portion control and working out 6 days a week.
With this i have managed to lose 6.6kgs in 3 and a half months and I'm extremely happy with my progress!. I have around 20 pounds more to lose to reach my goal weight but I'm going to take it slow, one day at a time ☺️23 -

amazing work! how big/small was your deficit in this timeframe?3 -
I was losing about 1.5 lbs a week for the first few months and then it slowed to about .5 lb a week. I would generally average 750 calorie deficit and then slowed that down to under 500 a day in general.9

WOW I really needed this inspiration, especially after the Christmas feast I had yesterday. I really appreciate all of you above sharing your then and now pictures. It has helped to motivate me to keep on trucking on my own weight loss journey. Hopefully soon I will be showing a before and after "reveal" of myself.6
