I ordered the same supplements when I started. Not long after showed the drink you speak of to a nutritionist that said it was all a bunch of sugar. I didn't do the post workout drink. Eat right and you'll be ok.

I was 350lbs just a few months ago, now 260lbs. I couldn't have done many of the programs at my heaviest. I simply walked until I was down to 300lbs. I would suggest start very light. There are so many reps that even very light weight will give you results after a few workouts you can always increase weight.
