My Doctor still takes mine in the office but makes changes in meds based on home readings. It's becoming more and more common for Doctors to verify your machine is accurate then going off of home numbers. Makes sense to me! Keep up the good work!!

I eat 1500 calories a day if I'm working out and 1200 calories if I don't....regardless of what I burn off at the gym. It depends on what your goal is- are you trying to lose weight (calorie deficit is needed meaning you need to burn off more in a day than you eat).
-
Add me too, I do 1500-1800 .
-
I'm doing it now. I started on the 15th- so far I'm enjoying it!!
-
Hi, there. I'm doing the challenge as well. I started the 15th =) Enjoying it so far!

I am in love with Brooks (Adrenaline line specifically). I had a pair of Mizzuno Waveriders that ran a close second (no pun intended).
-
Seriously? This is a thread about their celebrations, not your pet peeves. Please... a little respect.

I understand you want to lose fast and you feel like the basis is calories in, calories out but there's more to it than that. There are exceptions and your body going in to starvation mode because it doesn't have enough calories to fuel your daily functioning is one of them. You're doing more harm than good to your body…

Does your scale measure body fat percentage? I had the same thing happen when I lost weight- the scale went up sometimes even... I was just gaining muscle and losing fat. Trust measurements more than the scale.

I personally wouldn't do it. I'd rather go to Old Navy and pay $10 for a pair of new pants/shorts that used ones. When you workout you sweat and secrete all kinds of crap- wearing someone else's (washed or not) creeps me out.

and make sure there are no updates with the app

reboot your phone.

I'm in.. I've got the same 10lb goal for March =)

I've done all of that stuff. The food sucked and being so restricted as to what I could eat that wasn't powdered food I quit after a week. Do something you can do for the rest of your life... it's a lifestyle change after all. We're here because we've made poor choices in what we eat, how we eat and why we eat. I think…

Great post! Congrats on your weight loss- such an accomplishment. I'm on of those people that have tried everything under the sun for the "quick" win... usually involves cutting out something- carbs, fats, excessive calories. The most success I ever had was just moderation and occasional indulgence. It does boil down to…

I've got the Microsoft Band, too. A fan so far =)

Always a good idea to check with your doctor if you're concerned. I had similar concerns. My heart rate usually is around 180 and hangs out there when I run. I saw my doctor and he said don't worry about it as long as it comes back down you're good. I had to ditch the heart rate monitor for awhile because I got obsessed…

It tracked the steps for me

Let me know how you like it. My heart rate seemed low compared to my Garmin so I checked the old fashioned way and it was right on. I've been thinking my resting heart rate was between 80-90 and today its between more like 65-70. Pleasantly surprised =)
-
I liked it a lot. Next to the Microsoft Band (so far) the Garmin was my fave. No need to charge it at all. You have to buy a strap separate if you want to use the heart rate function. The sleep tracker was a little better with the Fit Bit.
-
I have the Garmin Vivofit. It's been my favorite so far. I'm curious about the discrepancy between the two as far as heart rate monitors. Let me know how it turns out!

I have no personal interest is in the product from a business perspective...Im not making any money off of it. I don't even sell the thing ! I just happen to work for the manufacturer. Its a new product on the market and Im writing about it on a fitness forum. Imagine that. Someone would have posted about it.. But I guess…
-
You obviously have some interest in the product or you wouldn't keep posting in this thread....and irrelevant comments at that. Relax, you can still use it on your Android or Mac. Unlike those guys we play well with others.
-
Try using promo code FRIENDS01 and see if it works if you buy it online. I heard they were already sold out.
-
Yeah..I work for Microsoft (I don't deal with the watches though). Its real. Theyve been dumping money into marketing so I'm sure we will be seeing a lot more commercials. I've had the FitBit, bodybug and Garmin...the Microsoft Band is my fave.
-
The integration with different apps is cool plus it works on Android, iPhones and Windows Phones. I've got a Lumia 1520. The Icon isn't running the 8.1 update though. I've heard it will let you update to 8.1 when you link the band to your phone.
-
Then its a good thing you're not rushing to get one today
-
Yep
-
Microsoft just released one today that looks way better
