NGL, I was afraid to watch that in public. Turns out it's just The Bunny Song from Veggie Tales.

The only stage of banana I actually like is when it's still a little green and hard. Any riper and the smell/taste nearly makes me sick.

I made a graph of the number of accidents I remember having per semester. 0's all through undergrad with a steady increase once hitting grad school. For my n=1, the better I get at chemistry, the more accidents I have.

Was it high-quality milk chocolate? And solid? I'm trying to decide how jealous I should be.

Amendment to my original post: Use the gross and evil ones to bake bread or make cookies.

No foods are good or bad. Eat the things you like, just count their calories and fit them into your goal. Put your stats into MyFitnessPal, give it your desired rate of loss, eat the number of calories it tells you to. If you want McDonalds for breakfast, eat it. You may have to have a smaller lunch/dinner to stay under…

Bananas are amazing. Eat them. Count the calories. Edit: But throw them away once they get spots on them because then they're gross and evil.

I don't see how you can possibly give this advice. Do you know what's wrong with OP's back, if they've exhausted all methods to work with it? I don't know if you've ever had serious back problems, but they're not something that can be brushed off with a "just do it anyway" attitude. OP, I have a compromised spine (it's…

Update: bought a pint of chocolate Halo, ate 1/4 of it, only cost me 60kcal. Win-win.

Saving the galaxy, one anti-science thread rebuttal at a time.

I'm not showing off anything but my N7 hoodie, stained with the tears of a chemistry PhD student. And possibly acid, but mainly (hopefully) tears.

I'm not a physicist, but I am a chemist. Thankfully my chemistry training has taught me a lot of things that are applicable to weight loss. One of them being: A person can't eat 1200 calories and not lose weight, then begin eating 1800 calories and lose weight without changing something else in their life. It can not be…

I tried Arctic Zero and hated it. I just looked on their website and saw that my local Kroger carries Halo Top, so I'm going to have to get some and try it out. Hardest part will be picking a flavour.

I love fast food. I don't get to eat it all that often because I prefer to have 3 decent meals a day rather than saving calories for fast food. But some highly active days (like today) I plan to fit in some delicious Chick-fil-A, and I anticipate it all day long.

Up your calories.

To add to this, I don't mean like "I happened to have this extra" leftovers. I make extra servings specifically to bring for lunches.

If you want eggs, you could also make them the night before and just heat them up for breakfast. I do that sometimes, when I know I won't have time to make breakfast. I generally throw together eggs, sliced mushrooms, cheese, and brown sugar ham. Scramble them all and it's amazing.

Leftovers. Tuna sandwich if leftovers aren't available.

I start getting positive cals after ~2500 steps, also set to sedentary.

I'm a grad student, with super long hours. When I (finally) get home at night, there is absolutely NO way I have the energy to workout. So I work out in the morning. I get up an extra hour early, walk several miles, and have time for a shower and breakfast before leaving for the day. If I was doing more strenuous exercise,…

Congratulations! Awesome job!

I'm 6'0", my goal weight is a strong, muscled 168. But I pulled that number out of thin air a few years ago when I started this journey, so I'm sure I'll end up tweaking it as I get close to goal.

You want to break the cycle? Aim for a reasonable weight loss goal that matches your stats, usually 1% loss of your bodyweight per week.

Or some people just like their coffee differently than you? It really irks me when other people feel the need to comment about my coffee prep. I use 3 splendas and 20mL of half & half for a 10oz coffee, and it never fails that someone (usually an older person) feels the need to comment if they see it.

At my weight, I should be able to hit a 1500kcal/day deficit to lose 3lbs/week, but that would have me netting around 1500kcal/day, and I can't imagine eating that little with how active I usually am. In fact, I start to feel dizzy and got headaches if I manage to hit those numbers for a few days in a row. So instead I…

How are you tracking your intake? Do you weigh everything you eat? Do you eat back calories burned from exercise? Also, you are losing weight, unlike what your thread title says. Just not as fast as you'd like.

To expect a "why diet soda/aspartame is dangerous" thread at least once a week.

I had lost 96lbs counting calories while eating keto, ended up gaining 60-ish lbs back because as soon as I switched back to eating normally, I ate everything and didn't count calories anymore. Right now I'm at ~70lbs down again with plain calorie counting.

Mine has come every two weeks for two months now. I'm getting everyone's missing periods.

Fitbit is showing what you've burned overall today, not what you burned from that specific activity. Set your activity level on MyFitnessPal to sedentary, link your Fitbit, and only eat back the extra calories it gives you.
