I think you need to find a new doctor, or get a referral to a registered dietician (not a nutritionist). I'm very worried about you, vomiting and feeling weak is not good. Here are some of the PDF fact sheets I was given by my dietician, from a diabetes clinic here in Australia. This one lists common foods and then gives…

Portobello mushroom stuffed with cottage cheese, basil and topped with some cheddar, steamed broccolini and cauliflower, feta and some zoodles with basil and parmesan.

Some people restrict carbs and sugar for medical reasons... ie. diabetics and those with insulin resistance.
-
I have insulin resistance, I was originally put on Metformin but after a while I decided to see if I could just change my lifestyle instead. After a few months of changing my diet and losing ~10kgs (at the time, I've now lost 22) I re-did the sugar drink test. My endo was happy with the results and I don't have to take…

Zoodles with lentil, capsicum and broccoli sauce and feta. Was so excited to eat it that I forgot I'd planned to have a slice of garlic bread with it. In a rush I microwaved the garlic bread and then put it under the grill for a few minutes. My impatience meant it wasn't as crispy or hot as I would have liked and it ended…

I've tried baking with coconut flour twice now and both times it turned out horribly! I think I'll try your choc chip cookie recipe this weekend :)

Wow, that blue dress looks great on you! Good job :)
-
Wow, what a great change! I also think the darker hair really suits you :)

You could try making hot chocolate with unsweetened cocoa powder, hot water, a small amount of milk (your choice, I use soy milk) and then a sweetener of your choice (I use Hermestas low GI granulated sweetener). The way I make it is about 40 calories with 2 grams of carbs. I find that sipping on hot chocolate at night…

Just realised I definitely needed some more colour in this meal! Vegetarian roast, bean and cauliflower mash, mushroom gravy and turnip fries (that didn't crisp up as much as I'd hoped).

Here are some of the recipes I have logged: Quinoa and spinach patties from SkinnyTaste.com - I used both kale and spinach and left out the parmesan (since it's typically not vegetarian) and my patties were 104 calories each with 5 grams of protein and 14 grams of carbs. I used a 1/4 cup measure to ensure my patties were…

I don't go to the gym! I did sign up for a free 3 week trial over the phone and I didn't even make it down there to sign the papers - the gym is only a 2 minute walk from my house! Personally I just find the environment intimidating. I'm going to stick to walking/jogging outside by myself, I'm enjoying the alone time and…

I was also going to suggest just making a smaller portion of your usual desserts. I love ice cream so I haven't stopped eating it, I just eat a smaller amount of it and then have a lot of fruit with it. I usually have about 50 grams of ice cream for ~130 calories. I also have a low fat custard (I think this is an…

String cheese or a triangle of Laughing Cow cheese with an apple. Veggies with a low calorie salsa or dip (I actually buy a salsa style dip with beans in it that's only 15 calories for a 20 gram serving). Make up your own trail mix with raw nuts, seeds and dried fruit.

5'4" Start weight: 158 Current weight: 106 Goal weight: would happily go higher if it was all muscle! Feeling a bit "skinny fat" at the moment :(
-
SkinnyTaste Quinoa and Kale/Spinach patties with cauliflower and some tomato sauce that vaguely resembles Australia. They don't look like much in the photo but I'm excited to have the leftovers for lunch this week!

I lost almost 50 pounds with minimal exercise. I would walk occasionally, at most 3 times a week but not there were weeks when I didn't walk at all. I'm just not an exercise kinda gal. I do think I need to incorporate it into my lifestyle now that I am maintaining though.
-
I've lost around 50lbs, went from an Australian size 12/14 to an 8/10 and have been maintaining for about 2 months now. I still feel fat. I think the problem is that I carry weight around my stomach, so I still manage to look at least 3 months pregnant at any given time. Meanwhile, my thighs have wasted away to nothing and…

Unfortunately if it is a true iron deficiency, you will need to do more than just eat iron rich foods. Get a blood test to make sure and then buy an iron supplement with vitamin c in it. Not sure about other countries but here in Australia there are two kinds of iron supplements. Some say "not for the treatment of iron…

My dessert tonight, freshly baked rhubarb with blackberries, cherries and greek yoghurt.

Tofu scramble with half an english muffin topped with basil paste and some cheese. The tofu I bought is labelled "great for stir fry" but it is anything but! It became a scrambly mess when I tried to fry it last night for dinner so I figured I'd try another tactic today for lunch :)

The indian lentil cauliflower soup from the Oh She Glows cookbook is to die for!

Maybe suggest they have a regular cake and then some other paleo desserts like brownies or cookies?

I saw someone recommend this website in another thread, I thought it looked interesting but couldn't be bothered getting out my credit card to continue with the "free" trial. https://www.eatthismuch.com/ You tell it how many calories you want to eat, how many meals, any foods you don't want to eat and then it comes up with…

I get bored and want to snack during the day at work. No, I cannot just get up and leave my desk to go exercise or entertain myself. I just make sure I only keep healthy snacks around and I usually pre-log them all so I know what I can and can't eat throughout the day.

Pumpkin, basil and 2 cheese pizza - 275 calories. Indian cauliflower lentil soup from the Oh She Glows cookbook (but with carrot instead of sweet potato) - 200 calories a serve. Not the most photogenic meal you've ever seen but I can't wait to take this to work for lunch next week :)
-
I have a feeling we live in the same area... I'm currently sitting next to a heater with a big blanket over me and a dressing gown on. It's cold! I'm a vegetarian but I try to eat low carb so I can't help with the potatoes. Looking through some of my recently logged recipes, I have: Sweet potato chilli: 220 calories a…

Wow, there are some great transformations here! Here's me in 2013 (probably not my highest weight tbh... I stopped weighing myself at a certain point): Here's me 2 months ago at around 17/18kgs down (coincidentally wearing the same scarf):
-
I just made a sweet potato and carrot soup! I'm not sure how many serves I'll get out of it yet but 8 serves is 122 calories and 6 makes it 162.

I'm 5'4" and 110 pounds. Unfortunately I carry fat around my waist so I'm still not happy with my body. I've never been into exercise and only do it sporadically. I'm thinking of doing a weekly yoga or pilates class to help improve my overall fitness.
