1 serving should be ok; anything more isn't worth the extra cals as well as damage to one's body.

Avoid flavored hard liquor, tons of added sugar and they give me an awful headache. I typically have vodka with a low cal juice. I hate carbonated drinks but a light beer is ok if I don't feel like becoming a half assed mixologist.

To be honest, I initially used the term plant based in my original post based on the stigma non/radical vegans have made. Unfortunately, veganism has a few connotations (at least in the US i.e. where I'm from). I use both terms interchangeably to avoid confrontation, especially in a social setting. Nevertheless, I am not…

This isn't totally true. I've been dating the same guy for a year and lost 15 lbs. We got each other Fitbits for Valentine's. In retrospect, it's the complete opposite of the stereotypical V-day gifts. lol Keep in mind, my boyfriend is obese while I'm considered a "normal" weight. Anyway, this statement isn't completely…

I like a midday matcha soy milk tea rather than coffee to curb cravings. Other than that, it won't make you lose weight. Green tea has caffeine which will raise your metabolism just enough to subside hunger pangs.

As long as you're aware of your animal by product intake, you'll be ok. I was pescatarian for 5 years before transitioning to a plant base diet. For awhile I thought I'd deprive myself of something if I dropped meat and diary. Despite not knowing what I'd miss, I was reluctant to change. My only regret about veganism is…

Plant based is consider a diet which consists of only plants. Veganism is a lifestyle which goes beyond what's on one's plate. Personally, I wouldn't deem you as "plant based" although your diet is comprised of mostly plants. I'd say you're a top tier omni! You probably have a better diet than most vegetarians lol…

When I use the term "plant based", I refer to consuming only plants. Thus, one's diet is based of plants. Vegan is a lifestyle which goes beyond one's diet. I myself am vegan which means I am conscious of every purchase I make. Wether that'd be avoiding items that contain animal by products like leather, silk, or feathers.…

Sorry for the late response. I forget to check the Community tab. Transitioning can be tough! It took me about 4 months to covert to 100% plant based. I was pescaterian for 5 years as well :) How's the veg life treating you?

Thanks for the heads up ❤️

I'm 5'4" and looking to lose 2 stone. Sounds like we're on the same page!

Hardstyle and metal is what I typically listen to. I guess that's a personal preference haha

Anything with refined oil/sugar is super sneaky! I consider premade, ready to eat meals the worst. There's a lot of sodium and preservatives which are rarely satisfying until you're eating 3 portions. lol I'd say stick to whole foods and cook whenever possible. I hate going out to eat; restaurants are never accurate with…

If I tell someone I'm going to workout, I do it. I can't go back on my word! Also, I love shopping for cute workout gear. Looking at before/after photos are a huge motivational boost too!

Drink more water! I'm generally lethargic when I don't drink enough water. I have no idea what your sleep patterns are but that can effect your energy levels as well. Light stetches throughout the day will wake up your muclses too. I'd listen to uplifting music if I'm extremely tired: usually happens after a long night of…

Here's a visual, hope it helps!

Learn to weigh or mesaure everything. Then search online for cal/weight ratio for items. I have to weigh new items all the time. I save those items cal/100g. It's easier and much more reliable when you do the math yourself rather than relying on someone's entry. I know it's a bit of work but it's worth it!

Hey everyone, I'm looking for people who have the determination to meet their goals. I plan on losing some weight so if there's anyone on the same boat, I'll paddle with ya. Feel free to send me a friend request!
-
Omg yes I do this all the time. Plus it's easier for your body to digest. Just make sure it's home made soup. If you're too busy to make soup, buy organic. Most pre made soups have oil, preservatives, and loads of sodium.

Eat more fruit, veg, potatoes, and legumes. Pssst... Go vegan haha I always tell this to people whenever they want more food for their calories.
-
You can turn most fruit into a smoothie. The more fruit you eat, the faster you will recover. Hope you begin to feel better soon ❤️
-
Papaya, watermelon, and my go to when I had my wisdom teeth pulled, sorbet ❤️

Omg do not go low carb. Eat more fruit to help repair your body. In the words of Freelee the Banana Girl, "Carb the *kitten* up!"
-
Eat more ripe fruit. Bananas are the perfect thing for a sweet tooth. Just remember bananas are not ripe until they have speckles. I like to call them freckles. haha

18 month vegan. Not as impressive as 25 years but I'm only 21 so that's impossible lol Feel free to send me a friend request. I always love adding fellow vegans. Oh, and there are MANY types of veganism. Just because you're vegan, does not mean you will lose wight or be healthy. Since you're just starting out, meat and…

Drink hot/warm water to get rod of cravings. Drink ice water to burn calories. To kill the cravings, I drink 48 to 80 ounces of water.

I hate fake "meat" or vegan substitutes for animal products, corn, wheat, oil, peanuts, low quality soy sauce, rice that wasn't washed properly, and preservatives that ruin perfectly good dried fruit.
-
When people think animal products are good for them. I'm torn between laughing in their face and shaking my head due to their ignorance.

Anything by Gackt, Malice Mizer, Versailles, and Kamijo. Currently listening to Kamijo's Heart album. Omg it's my favorite. The first time I saw the PV for Louis, I cried.

Gackt and Miyavi. Those men are so damn sexy.
