  • Wow, that is really interesting. Thank you! My gym sells a HRM called MyZone, and the monitor syncs up the display at the gym and displays a reading. It makes me wonder how accurate that is now. On a personal level, for me, it is so hard to get away from the mentality of needing to know what I burn when I workout. I guess…
  • I thought the HR recorded heart rate, meaning you could wear it during weight lifting?
  • I am curious about this too, I am trying to build more muscle, and I've been told to eat 500 additional calories to build muscle. But, I am really not sure.
  • I'm glad you posted this because I was wondering too. And sodium. So many good for you foods already have sodium and cholesterol. Is there a way to change MFP settings?
  • I hope you don't mind me jumping in on your thread, I was doing deadlifts today as well. I just LOVE them. But, my question is, do you need to bring the bar all the way back down to the ground? I've read about Romanian Deadlifts and Stiff Leg Deadlifts and I am not sure if one or both, you bring the bar back to the ground,…
  • Feeling pretty duped! Before I started listening to them, I was consuming much less, 2,000 and could not function without the energy in me. What is the best way to determine my daily burn? At an average workout, in an hour and 20 mins, I burn nearly 700 (according to MyZone).
  • Been eating that much for a few months now. Measuring food, do you mean by scale, portion size, using my palm as a gauge. I've been working out 5-6 days a week, mostly weight training with a bit of cardio.
  • Thanks for the replies. If this is the case, then why have I not gained huge amounts of weight? I've been consuming over 3,200 and weight has not gone up.
  • My gym sells the watch that, I believe, can give you the updates without needing to go to the gym :)
  • Did you end up getting it? I've had it for about 8 months and love it!
  • I have the my zone and use it for what you decribed, TRX, les mills, weights, and it's very accurate and helpful. I use it on the octane or stair climber and actually, it's more accurate than what the machines read.
  • I agree! I'm loving mine. I did wear it all waking hours one day, synced up at gym, then sleeping hours, synced up at gym. I did this on non-workout days, to find my daily calorie burn. Then I can figure what I need to eat and add in exercise and that muscle I want

  • I have myzone too also from snap. I think that because it reads heart rate it is more accurate?
