  • i don't really drink, but we talked about this at work recently during our biggest loser competition and i think the general consensus was that single shot liquors were your best options, like a whiskey and water.... if you drink diet drinks, maybe a rum and diet coke? i think the key is to limit your intake...

  • I also prefer to buy from my butcher... no added preservatives and solutions. Makes it hard to track accurately.
  • i always seem to be short on calories at the end of the day and popcorn is my go-to. i toss those kernels in the pan then top according to my mood!
  • i hit maintenance a few weeks ago and am always looking for new friends. add me if you like!
  • hi! i'm 42, 5'6" and weigh 131. i am a small on top and a 4-6 on bottom. i zumba occasionally and walk 15k or so steps a day. love good food and dislike exercise.
  • i envy your calorie burn! i am 42; 5'6" and 131 pounds. my fitbit tells me i tend to burn around 600 cals at 15k steps.

  • i am not quite in my 50s, but am southern and i think that's close enough! feel free to add me!
  • plain bagel with smoked salmon, tomatoes, and capers
  • i also work in an office and some days the workload makes it impossible to move! but other days, it is easy to get up every hour or so and hit the stairs for a few minutes. the more water you drink, the more times you have to go to the ladies room (double bonus!) also, eat your lunch at your desk and walk during your lunch…
  • hi everyone! i am 5'6. i started in june at 185 and recently hit my goal of 132. i feel comfortable here. in addition to other random activities, i walk 15k or so steps a day and occassionally zumba. i'm 42 and love to eat and hate to exercise...
  • yeah, it definitely isn't health food; but i only eat 1/8 cup at a time (with 2 graham crackers) so it takes me a couple weeks to go through the pint. here's a pic of the label from the one in my freezer.
  • meal prep sundays have changed my life! way to go on your weight loss!!
  • ice cream sandwich made with cinnamon graham crackers and goat cheese and cherry ice cream
  • i am a 3-meal; 2-snack; 1- dessert girl. i tried 3 meals per day, but the meals were too large and made me uncomfortable, so i found that making them smaller and adding snacks works for me!
  • dessert! one square of trader joe's dark chocolate bar - caramel with black sea salt
  • i am only a couple weeks into maintenance, but i am only weighing myself once a week and trying to trust the numbers that got me here in the first place - my cico. i figure if those stay consistent, then my weight should too. fingers crossed!
  • i have seen the ice cream at both whole foods and fresh market, and they have a website that tells you where you can buy, but i can't figure out how to post the link...not tech savvy...
  • you didn't say if it had to be healthy...lately i have been digging this goat cheese and cherry ice cream...
  • my diary is open to friends; add me if you like.
  • i don't like it either, i think talking about it is so boring and it is embarrassing so i change the subject as soon as possible without being rude.
  • We have a girls' group who has enjoyed some level of success. During one of our weekly lunches (very beneficial) we discussed why this time we felt successful in our efforts. Mostly, it boiled down to having the right tools and support. We use MFP and we all have some sort of activity trackers. We use different health apps…
  • i reached maintenance two weeks ago and i am doing as others advised...adding 100 or so cals per week. i am also not getting on the scale daily - once a week is enough. i think the minute fluctuations would worry me. i am weighing my food and my activity is stable, so i am going to trust the numbers.
  • welcome and please try not to be overwhelmed. it's really not as hard as you think - all you need are the tools and support and you will find both here. great advice from sue! i recently reached my goal weight and i attribute my success to my fitness pal and also my fitbit (an activity tracker). so i have an idea…
  • assuming slim fast works while you are on it, that is great! but what happens when you stop drinking the drinks? what have you learned about eating that you can carry with you to sustain your weight loss?
  • i dont "cheat" but i do "indulge." i prelog and as a result i eat what i want and have dessert every day. if i am going out to eat, i will try to fit the meal into my daily calories, if i go over, then i will exercise a bit more. i just started maintenance so this seems to work for me. i will say that my eating habits have…
  • hi everyone! i'm 42 and just about ready to begin maintenance. i consistently log and can always use new friends!
  • beef bourguignon, spinach salad, steamed brussels sprouts. kefir, strawberry, chocolate smoothie for dessert.
  • i make four servings at a time of the steel cut oats in my rice cooker then store them in separate containers with toppings.
  • this is all so fascinating! i am 42 years old, 5’6 and weigh 138. last june when i started i weighed 185 and ate 1200ish calories since i thought that was what i was supposed to do. i work a full time office job and my fitbit tells me i walk 14k steps a day and burn approximately 2200 calories. i stalled 6 weeks ago and…
