  • They have a badge for Ancient Membership? Maybe my membership isn't old enough yet. I absolutely can relate to the fun that is perimenopause. Pretty much every negative thing our bodies could ever experience is all chalked up to perimenopause for at least 5-10 years. Fun huh? You're welcome to add me if you'd like. I don't…
  • Insight Timer is my go-to for all things meditation. They have fantastic yoga nidra meditations for sleep, courses to help you learn how to meditate and I'm currently doing a course to assist me with my overeating issues. It's a great app and there is a lot offered for the free version as well as a Plus version which isn't…
  • I really like Kiss My Keto's golden wheat bread. It is the closest that I have found to actual bread. Lots of people don't like it because of the gluten, but for me, having it once in a while instead of constantly craving or caving in to real bread makes it a winner.
  • LCHF and IF 16:8 everyday
  • As popular as low-carb is becoming, you would think they would offer it for free. I tried Premium for two months, but it was too expensive for not enough extra features, in my opinion...I will just keep using my Chrome extension (although they are making it buggy lately..)
  • One of the measurement guidelines I recently heard is half of your body weight in ounces. I generally go over that, but don't stress too much if I don't.

  • I can absolutely relate to all of this!
  • I installed a script to display net carbs on MFP. It works really well on a desktop/laptop. I generally will plug in my food on my phone's app, but if I want to check my macros for the day, log in on my computer. Here's the link if anyone is interested: https://perfectketo.com/myfitnesspal-net-carbs/
  • I use Perfect Keto exogenous ketones (chocolate flavor) almost daily in my coffee. Just half a scoop and I have found that it really gives me an energy boost, and can help push me back into ketosis if I faltered a bit the day before. I use their collagen powder in my coffee as well and found it has helped my gut, my hair…
  • I was curious about trying their peanut butter cups. I looked at the ingredients online first and they didn't look too bad. However, when I saw them in the store for $10.99 for I think 5 of them, it was a hard pass. I can get off my butt and make my own fat bombs for that price. I already use their advanced nutrition…
  • One of my favorite things about Keto is my lack of appetite! I have to make myself eat sometimes.
  • Unless you have the premium version of MFP, it won't split up the carbs for you. Carb Manager is another app that I use to help me track them.
  • I don't log lettuce or cucumbers. I log all my other veggies though. And EVERY piece of fruit.
  • Not everyone can run. I would love to because I know it is great cardio, but shin splints tell me "hell no you better not!"
  • I'm sort of starting over....been lax the last few weeks due to some life issues, but trying to get back on track today. I figured the first of the month was a good time to recommit!
  • Caffeine Free Coke Zero is my new go-to when I just get sick of water all the time. I allow myself 1-2 per day because they aren't great for you. But definitely better than the regular stuff when it comes to calories and that icky sugary film that drives me nuts.
  • I used to take 5-HTP for my mild depression and it helped a little bit, but once my body had a tolerance to it, it stopped working. I suggest Picamilon (check amazon for that, not sold in stores) if you are looking to treat your mild depression. As for weight loss on 5-HTP...I heard about that too, but didn't notice it…
  • weight loss so far: 15 lbs(started in October 2014) current weight: 132.8 Target weight loss for April: 6.4 Target weight by 4/30: 130 3/31: 136.4 4/7: 134.2 4/14: 132.8 4/21: 4/30: Last week was pretty hit and miss. I was shocked to see the scale drop to where it did. I am starting to be able to wear pants that I have…
  • I weigh daily but only log twice. I used to do it on Monday until I realized that it would be seriously skewed if I had a lot of sodium over the weekend. I switched to logging on Wednesdays and Sundays. I like having a midway point to see progress and then one on the weekend to see if I need to work harder the next week.…
  • Oh man...thank you for this. I needed a good monday chuckle.
  • weight loss so far: 13.6 lbs(started in October 2014) current weight: 134.2 Target weight loss for April: 6.4 Target weight by 4/30: 130 3/31: 136.4 4/7: 134.2 4/14: 4/21: 4/30: I feel REALLY good about last week. Managed to eat under calories a few days, and when I was over, it wasn't by that much. I exercised everyday…
  • Since my weight loss has recently stalled a bit and I have been falling off the wagon far too often, this is the challenge I think I need to help me get back on track. It's worth a shot, right? weight loss so far: 11.4 lbs(started in October 2014) current weight: 136.4 Target weight loss for April: 6.4 Target weight by…
  • When I want to have some junk food, (I am using the term to reference the foods that we learned about our entire lives as having little to no nutritional value and given a cutesy name that encompasses all kinds of these items), I will try to find better alternatives to the originals. I still indulge in the originals,…
  • I have been looking for something like this, thank you for sharing! I'm going to start this evening :)
  • It is supposed to loosen your muscles up so that the poses are easier/more effective. I personally love regular yoga but despise sweating so don't plan to try it in the near future unless I feel like being miserable/dehydrated for s**ts and giggles.
  • My bf is very thin framed, can eat whatever he wants and can't ever seem to gain anything. He doesn't tell me what to do to lose weight though...he's not an *kitten*. One of the toughest parts of my journey has been making a hearty enough dinner so that he isn't starving, but yet make it healthy enough that I don't end up…
  • Over the years of gaining and losing weight I have never had much of a change in my boobs (always been between 36-38DD). Until this time...I have lost about 12 lbs and I am already noticing that the girls seem a little smaller :( I don't mind losing a bit, but the sag that's coming with it I can completely do without.
  • The heaviest I have ever knowingly been was 177 and as soon as I realized I was at 177 I started working to get it off. I managed to drop down to around 150 fairly quickly. In the last few years I have been floating between 135 and 160 and I am tired of the yo-yo. My max is and always has been 150. I haven't always managed…
  • Barefoot should pay for sponsorship on my log!! I love my pinot, at least two-four evenings I week. I typically allow calories for it, but sometimes those glasses put my a little over...I'm still losing so I haven't felt the need to change my habit yet.
  • I looked at joining last year, but knew I would not commit to going on a regular basis so I didn't sign up. Basically what it seems like to me is an inexpensive alternative to places such as Gold's and other larger fitness centers. Essentially for the people that don' t need a bunch of frills, bells and whistles, and just…
